Beautiful boutique hotel in a lovely setting outside of Havelock North and Napier. Breakfasts are great with eggs Benedict and more. They have a spa and pool. They also serve dinner but were full while we were here. Would recommend while in Napier area.

Fantastic building with fantastic food and service. We had the fixed menu with wine tasting, One of us a vegetarian and both of us were catered for with great food. My wife has also been there for afternoon tea and said that was very good.

We had a gorgeous time away with our besties, place is stunning, amazing chef, our suite was amazing. Also enjoyed the Mangapapa wine collection!! The two nights were a little like staying with a caring family, the staff made us feel so welcome!

Mangapapa understand the professionalism of service, the beauty of a little art, and the cosiness of a fire. From the moment I was welcomed, the level of service and respect was mutual. Smart but down to earth. Highly recommend a meal and spa treatment to go with your stay.

We loved our stay! Everything was perfect, from the food, service, rooms, to the spa room. We were welcomed to enjoy the spa room, up until the last few minutes of our stay. We felt totally relaxed & taken care of. The dinner & breakfast was top quality. The gardens are well maintained & provide a lovely view from the restaurant, or when sitting on the top deck. Thank you 🙏

We loved every moment of our stay - the rooms are very luxurious, the staff are friendly and very helpful and the facilities are fantastic. It is located in such a peaceful place and it is very easy to relax and unwind here. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast, the grass tennis courts and spa pool.

Service was excellent, the accommodations were excellent and the dinner in the restaurant was one of the best meals I’ve ever had!!! I had to leave before breakfast the next morning and they prepared me not one, but two incredible sandwiches to go. I only stayed one night, wish I could have stayed longer.

The location and hotel looks very nice but the service is very bad. We arrived after a long day of driving at 3pm and we wanted to eat something. They charge you high prices to stay but they couldn’t make us any food since the restaurant was “fully booked” for the whole day including dinner. This could be understandable but they couldn’t even offer us a simple sandwich or anything. You can not claim to be a five star hotel if you’re not able to give your hotel guests any food at all. For me service is zero.

Mangapapa was a beautiful escape for a couple of locals celebrating our anniversary. From our warm greeting on arrival, the stunning decor in the lobby, bar & restaurant and of course the comfort and elegance of our room…just stunning. The team did not miss a thing, right down to freshly baked cookies in our room on arrival and serving the best Hawthorne Coffee. Robes and slippers are also provided which again is a nice extra that is often missed these days. The ‘trust the Chef’ menu at the restaurant was exquisite and breakfast the next morning just as divine. Everyone, local and visitor, should treat themselves to an escape at Mangapapa Hotel.
