Wingate by Wyndham Hattiesburg

It’s a great place to stay nothing to fancy but very clean nice rooms with soft beds.. how ever if you thinking of swimming while you stay don’t get your hopes up cause the pool is beyond green and has been for the last year.

Place overall satisfying. Clean.

Familiar with it through a sister Wingate by Wyndham property. Stayed at another sister property last night in Ridgeland, MS. It was excellent. This is a sister property apparently under same owner. However, I was surprised to be charged an "incidental" fee separate from my room booking charges, supposedly the incidental free is like a security deposit in case I damage their room. I was not aware of this when booking the room through *******. I do not think ******* would have known about it either. For me to accept the room, upon my check in, previously not knowing this, I was forced to accept the incidental fee in order to get my room. I was so tired and exhausted, I went ahead with it. I am told that, after someone checks my room after I check out, they decide if they will hold my incidental fee or not. If I get my incidental fee returned, it may take 2 to 7 business days for it to be credited to bank account. This does not make me a happy customer. Maybe this is a new practice. Maybe they have had some recent problems from guests who damaged some rooms. How come I have to be penalized for their acts? I don't think this business practice is going to last long or they will have many customers complaining about it, and their business sales will drop. They need to find a smarter solution in my opinion. This leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I was really looking forward to staying here tonight, but not with this unexpected news.

Just a great stay! Our family enjoyed the cleanliness and comfort of the room, the breakfast (with bacon, always a hit with the kids!) and the genuinely friendly staff! We will absolutely stay here again in the future.

Our entire stay overall was good. It was in a great location of restaurants and the interstate. The staff was courteous and professional. My room was ready when I arrived. The only problem was the water faucet for the shower in RM 424 not working properly. I had to troubleshoot to get the hot water to work.

I went to see my daughter for her 21st bday. It was fun .. stay was nice Loved the asst mgr attitude…. Great experience..

The staff we got to meet were all amazing and made us feel very welcome (they deserve an award).

Many good places around area. Issues with staff in maintenance room beside my room being loud at night.

The coffee and juice machine did work. The breakfast was horrible. The Thursday night front desk clerk was no help, she didn’t have access to anything or so she said. There was no body wash in the room after changing rooms because the heat did not work in the first room.
