We had a great stay here. Some of the reviews made me second guess our upcoming stay, but I am glad we moved forward. The hotel is great, the staff is even better. Is this the newest Ritz out there? No. However, it's the nicest spot in Sarasota. The dining is great and the beach club is the perfect day to spend the day. We were there off season in August, some of the schools had just started. On a few days there were only a handful of guests at the beach club pool area. It was great! We used our rental car to get to the beach club so we wouldn't need to wait for the shuttle. It's a short drive. Such a really nice relaxing stay! I will say, the new St. Regis will give this Ritz a run once it opens this fall. It looks amazing, so they will need to step up their game.
Location not that far away to the beach. The way they work was professional. Room amenities was Awsome and I like the design of the hotel and inside the room. I’m mostly enjoying there
Not a good start. Thought I would try a ”hip” place with a great location in Sarasota for a business trip. First, no acknowledgement of gold elite. Maybe that wasn't good enough. Second, I didn't know there was only cleaning every other day. Couldn't even be guaranteed cleaning upon request per the front desk team member but he said he will try. I think Motel 6 cleans your room each day if you ask. Then, there was no internet, at least not in the inside of the room on the seventh floor. It did connect for a few minutes in the bathroom which backs up against the hallway, but that's not where I wanted to have to spend my time just to be connected to what came up as an insecure internet connection. Again, the front desk team said that the service comes and goes. Isn't this what you want to hear for $300+ per night? The truth is it deserves no stars, but the gym looks great and I am hoping it gets better. If not, I will respectfully ask for a refund.
This hotel is ready for the wrecking ball. Serious problems with electrics. Several sockets in room216 not working. Coffee maker not working. Elevator not working( we were offered a room on the ground floor when checking in for a four day stay but assured the elevator would be fixed by the following day )I prefer a high floor so opted for second floor. Elevator was out of order for duration of my stay.Ice machine out of order on second floor. Pool advertised on Bonvoy app hotel description as heated. It isn't. It rained during my stay and the corridor on the GROUND floor flooded.Carpet was wet for duration of stay and ceiling tiles removed. A pervasive smell of dampness and mould in the room and a dehumidifier was provided indicating that this is an ongoing problem. We had a walk in shower rather than a bath which was great if it hadn't been filthy. We opted for our room to be cleaned. This wasn't done and we had to seek out cleaners to remove rubbish. No clean towels provided or replenishment of limited amenities. Go elsewhere.
We came in as a late check in and the night person Eric was amazing! Make sure to give him a pat on the back or an Amazon gift card lol he was awesome he definitely helped my family out with a smooth check in. Thank you Eric! Oh also everyone at this location was very nice. It was clean bed was comfy and breakfast was tasty and the pool was warm at night.
Amazing innovative hotel. From the moment you walk in your senses are filled with delight. From the gorgeous scent in the lobby to the visually beautiful art displayed everywhere, its a dream. The staff here was lovely from the front desk to the pool bar staff to the restaurant downstairs... impeccable! We had an amazing driver named Jim that shuttled us wherever we wanted to go and had really good suggestions and knowledge of the area. This hotel is a definite must when in town even if you're just popping in to see the art or have a drink.
Kathleen was very nice, attentive and very helpful. I looked forward to seeing her every morning at breakfast. She wasn't afraid to talk to people and help people at breakfast. Everyone just stood around, didn't help or even talk to you. You could tell that Kathleen loved her job and what she does. The front desk staff was amazing (Maria). Thank you to all the staff who made our 7 day vacation amazing!! My husband and I will definitely return. I forgot to mention the availability to ride the bikes was a pleasant experience and all the shops, mall and stores was in walking distance.
ผผู้เข้าพักFor the money this was a great stay. The Front Desk Service was awesome, the room was clean. The pool was great and not busy at all. The maintenance guy was always working to keep everything nice.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Have recommended to others.
A HUGE little improvement would be to get some command strip hangers for towels, or just install hooks.
We also did wonder why the shuttle guys would not pick up right at the resort, that is not the hotels fault, but we did get pretty wet in the rain waiting on the corner.
After the hurricane we stayed in a few hotels but the Embassy handle it very good! Amazing room with the view only issue is about the pool but you have change to use sister property West-in. Irem on the phone was very helpful and she was make sure we will enjoying our stay. Breakfast is amazing Oz is doing great. Thanks for everything guys, see you soon.
AArrendajoThe staff was friendly and helpful and accommodated my early check in. They invited me to a pool party that night and warned that it might be noisy. However, my room (#422) was on the corner away from the pool, and I didn't hear a thing. It was next to the elevator, but I heard no noise from that or from guests in the hallway. I enjoyed the mid 20th century accents of the hotel decor. On my second morning I discovered that there was only decaf and tea in the coffee maker selection, but after a call to the front desk, regular coffee pods were quickly delivered to my room. The bathroom was spacious and spotless, as was the bedroom, but I wish I could have made the shower a bit hotter.
