Amanbagh, translating as 'peaceful garden', provides a tranquil refuge to access the rich heritage of Rajasthan’s dramatic frontier region. Lying within a walled compound that was once the staging area for the Maharajah of Alwar’s royal hunts, the resort evokes the palatial grandeur of the Mughal era.
Amanbagh’s graceful domed main building houses the Restaurant on the ground floor, which opens onto a terrace overlooking the garden. The menu focuses on seasonal Indian and Western cuisines, with vegetables and herbs grown in the organic kitchen garden.
The Library Terrace, located on the second floor of the main building, is ideal for informal dining in the evenings. The Library itself offers a variety of reference books on the history, arts, culture and wildlife of India. Elevated above a canopy of trees, the Rooftop provides sweeping views over the surrounding hills and is another option for alfresco dining. The main building also houses a small boutique.
A 33-metre swimming pool and a 12-metre wading pool lie at the heart of Amanbagh’s gardens. Both are heated during the cooler months.
In the Ayurveda-influenced spa, skilled therapists draw on India's ancient healing philosophy to provide a range of treatments, including facials, massages and scrubs. Yoga and meditation take place within the gardens and at scenic spots beyond Amanbagh’s grounds. Tailormade Wellness Immersions are also offered.
The rooms were modern, clean, and well-equipped with all the essentials, including a microwave, mini fridge, tea and coffee maker, and a large smart TV. The complimentary Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which was a great bonus for staying connected.
The breakfast buffet offered a good variety of dishes, and the Express Café & Bar served delicious quick bites and beverages throughout the day. I also appreciated the 24/7 gym on the top floor, which provided a great view of the city while working out.

(1) Upon check-in, I found it strange that the male staff placed my husband's name and used his surname as the wifi password when I am the person who made the booking and paid for the hotel. Hence, I am unhappy about this as, even after asking the male staff to change to my name and surname. He was too lazy to do it! Felt very unrespected! In the final invoice, when I paid for room service, the same male staff did not change to my name!!! Terrible and lazy!
(2) The food for room service was delicious!
(3) The housekeeping was slow in getting us some things.
(4) The morning breakfast buffet was delious, with a wide range of local and intercontinential food. The staff in the Breakfast area were very efficient and excellent!
We absolutely loved our stay at Leela Palace Jaipur! The staff are so amazing. The grounds and mountains right next door are pretty and it's just a first-rate place to stay for sure! Beautiful place! Great quality of everything and great standards for Westerners. The other '5 star' hotels we stayed in in Jaipur weren't up to Western standards of 5 star in hygiene and other little things but the Leela Palace certainly is, and I'd rate it even more than a typical 5 star hotel in the Western world. This is more of a palace retreat, also, not just a hotel. We have excellent memories there and I'm still wearing my Leela slippers at home in Australia now hehe, because it reminds me of the beautiful time I had there and the beautiful staff who made things more than excellent for us and really made our stay amazing. Definitely recommend. I do have a tip - go in a 'Grand Villa'. The Palace suite (what it says I stayed in), is gorgeous but the villas are even better and not that much difference in price. We stayed 2 nights at Leela Palace Jaipur and experienced both room types. The photos online on the Leela website are accurate.
We ate at the buffet restaurant, Sukh Mahal. It was nice. The food was hygienic, fancy, and we didn't get sick at all (we did at another 5 star hotel).
It's a fair drive from the city of Jaipur, but I think you'll find that you actually love that. jaipur city area is so hectic and loud with horns and just a bit unpleasant to be in, if you're in culture shock. The Leela Palace is further out and is such a nice break from Jaipur city area. It's perfectly away in the mountain areas. The air is fresher and it's pretty with the mountains. I totally recommend. I also recommend taking the hotel's car, as they actually have seatbelts in all seats and air con and just fancy. We took an Uber to the Leela Palace and that was a huge mistake. Pay the extra for the hotel car! Most of the cars we were in in Jaipur had no seatbelt in the back middle seat, and two other cars didn't have seatbelts in the back at all. Just trust us. Just make sure they take you to the right airport. The driver was great but dropped us off at domestic terminal, which is 3km or so from the international one, and you have to take an Uber to get from each, so please make sure they understand which one (I thought it would be one airport).

ผผู้เข้าพักYes, there is no negative point for this property! bed is very clean, white rajai with pillow. Quick response from desk. Healthy breakfast. Location is best. Not extra demand by any meber, staff reception. Thanks mmt. I am first time in jaipur.
ผผู้เข้าพักWe booked the hotel for a one night stay for 4 persons two rooms, but both rooms were not the same. All the furniture is in old condition. The good part is they have a roof top restaurant separately where you can enjoy live music for an hour, second they have a midnight kitchen with a variety of food with reasonable rates. The surrounding area has a good market and the outer look of the hotel is impressive.
