With visiting a new country, I was a little uncertain about the right hotel to stay in, but, when I pulled up in the Uber, I was BEYOND grateful that the pictures matched real-life. The entire hotel had an old world, relaxed vibe, that made the wind down easier. I have never traveled to Guatemala before and the friendly service has me considering returning, for a longer, personal trip. Even though I'm not fluent, in the native language, most of the ppl with whom I came in contact, including hotel staff, were VERY helpful and patient.
The bed was VERY comfortable, the room smelled like it had been cleaned, recently and it was VERY spacious.

Old hotel, poorly maintained, needs a lot of maintenance and remodeling. Old carpets, there was no water for a while in the room on two occasions in two afternoons. Cold and unappetizing breakfast. There is no elevator and we had to go up and down three floors. On the good side, good location and very friendly staff

Beautiful property garden and multiple sitting areas. Interesting historical colección of items that belonged to owners of this home turned into hotel. Very comfortable and quiet.

We loved the hotel and the staff!! They are very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast was great and the security guards were very nice and kept us feeling safe!
The only thing my husband and I would change is the beds. They are firm and we didn’t feel very comfortable in them.
Otherwise we loved the hotel!!
