Lo bueno: todos los días se realiza el aseo de la habitación. -El trato del personal es gentil y respetuoso -Nos facilitaron plancha para ropa y un ventilar -El personal muy atento cuando requerimos toalla para la alberca. Lo malo: No tienen elevador, sino que tienes que caminar alrededor de 40-50 escalones así como en la entrada tiene una rampa vehicular pero también es la entrada del hotel. Ahí dejan autos estacionados y llega hacer incómodo para los huéspedes andar entre los vehículos. En los desayunos el agua simple sin sabor, mientras tanto la comida estuvo buena. -La ropa de cama está manchada, había cabellos en el cubrecolchon y en la regadera. -El agua de la alberca muy fría y del jacuzzi muy caliente. Me dió alergia al salir de la alberca. Por la noche apagan las luces y ponen una lona Deberías de extender el horario, los que vamos al los tour llegamos tarde y ya no la disfrutamos. - Solo había un conector en la habitación, así que le hace falta más mantenimiento y conectores de luz. -Te ofrecen una mejor habitación por $150 por noche (añadido al precio que ya pagaste) -Estacionamiento en un terreno baldío $100 por noche

We stayed at this hotel twice in 2023, to be closer to the BJX airport for early morning flights. While there are hotels closer to that airport (this hotel is a 25 minute drive to it) but this hotel is too nice to pass up for some of the not-so-nice airport area hotels. Guanajanto downtown is beautiful, not to be missed! The rest of the town isn't anything to write home about, we have done multipe tours and I'd stick to the area Villa Maria Cristina is in, and dowtown only. Ok, so we are Hyatt Explorist status. Both times our room was upgraded, which was very nice. The larger suites are lovely, we had one with a private patio with a table and loungers as well as Two full bathrooms, each with a bath tub and separate showers. Heaven! Robes and slippers also were privided with the room. We also got a turndown service with a lovely locally made treat. The hotel is old, and has the feel of an older hotel that has been well maintinaed, we could hear the pipes in the walls. Not a big deal. This room was facing a view of the mountains, but also along the main road. It was noisy All night with traffic. Light sleepers should request a room off the main road. The second time we had a slightly smaller room, no patio and one bathroom with a soaker tub. The hotel has 2 small pools, one indoors, 1 outside. There is also a spa and sauna (we had to sign up in advance to use it). There is also at least 1 hot tub set outdoors, although it was cold and we had to wait about 30 minutes for it to get heated. There's multiple outdoor patios. There is also a weekend brunch with a DJ but we did not participate. There is a bar and restaurant on site, and the food and service was good. There are also several restaurants within walking distance (5-10 minutes), an OXXO, and a few nice cafe/coffee shops nearby. There is a Nespresso machine in the room, however they charge you for each coffee pod used. Some of these rooms go for upwards of $500 USD a night. I personally find it tacky to be charged for using the coffee in the room. Out of hundreded of hotels we've stayed in over the years this has Never happend, and I found it extreamly odd. Managers - please get rid of that, it is not customary and ”cheapens” the overall feel of the hotel. The service was excellent both times we stayed here, the food was decent and setting beautiful. We'll be back!

The ac didn’t work all night and we didn’t realize it until about 3am after we had fallen asleep. We arrived late from sight seeing and we turn the ac on, we fell asleep and I woke up around 3am and noticed it was hot and uncomfortable. I wasn’t going to call the front desk at that time and wake my family of 4 up. I told the from desk in the morning and asked for a discount. They basically said since I didn’t alert them when it happened that they couldn’t give me the discount. I explained it happened at 3 am, still they said no. They said I can email the manager and they can give me a discount for my next stay. I have no clue when I’ll return to Guanajuato and who knows if that same manager I email will remain in that position years later so I thought that offer was unreasonable. So I told the staff ok don’t give me a discount, I’ll just write about my experience. Win win for everyone. I’ll tell you one thing I bet they went into my room and fixed the ac after I left.
