Villa Bordoni

This stunning country house is the ideal setting for a short break away. The house and many of its resting areas around its beautiful gardens made it wonderfully relaxing. The staff were very helpful, Ricardo helped us plan our day to a 30 acre vineyard for a wine tasting tour and after he suggested some beautiful hamlets to visit for lunch. We ate the first night in the Restaurant and enjoyed every bite, all fresh produce cooked to perfection. Our room was air conditioned, very comfortable and tranquil. A blissful 2 nights stay. We had the most magical experience at Villa Bordoni!! We were itching for a quiet countryside retreat and its fabulous location in and views of the Tuscan hills, stunning pool amongst its olive trees, quiet gardens, incredible restaurant, and delightful staff were exactly what we were looking for. Thank you so much for having us -- we can't wait to come visit again!

100% recommend!. What a pleasant stay at this hotel. Situated in the heart of Tuscany in the region of Chianti, this was the perfect place for a romantic getaway. The room was very spacious, clean and with all the ameneties (besides a coffemaker). Very good breakfast buffet with eggs made to order and good selection of other food and you could sit outdoors in the lovely patio or garden when the weather allowed. The restaurant was beyond expectations, good range of antipasti and pasta which we tasted, did not try the meat dishes. The pool was also good to relax by after all the sightseeing If you are looking for a romantic small hotel in Tuscany then I 100% recommend thus hotel.

Villa Bordoni is stunning. Beautiful gardens and roses. Just lovely everywhere. Dinner and breakfast was delicious. Get the Tuscan Gin and Tonic if you are a gin person. We stayed in the family suite and it was nice for a group of five. The pool was gorgeous

My husband and I just stayed at the Villa Bordoni for six nights. It was truly magical for us both. The location is stunning…albeit tricky driving through narrow country roads. Besides the villa itself being a gorgeous and tastefully renovated approximately 1000 year old villa, the grounds are rich in color with sounds of birds and filled with lush gardens. We had breakfast at the villa outside in the garden every morning and took daily drives heading in a different direction each day…Greve in Chianti, Radda, San Gimignano, Volterra, and several more villages…coming back to our “home” at Villa Bordoni to dine. Every evening was filled with spectacular service, warmth, laughter, and truly fabulous food. The staff became family. We were filled to the brim with the effects of their hospitality, kindness and warmth. We knew everyone by name, gracious connections and generous hearts. They are truly genuine, knowledgeable and warm.

We stayed at Villa Bordoni as a family of 5: 2 adults and 3 kids (13,11, &8). We booked the family Villa which is a complete two story section of the Villa with its own entrance etc. there were 3 separate bathrooms and everything was spotless. This place was beautiful and the gardens left me with a lot of inspiration to take back home. The pool was a perfect place to swim and relax with a drink. Free breakfast that even my picky eater could enjoy. Kids don’t seem to be the norm there but we did see a few others during our stay. It is very romantic and beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone who is staying in the area, family or couple, with the caveat of having respect for the other guests who may be on their honeymoon etc. It is small (maybe 7-8 rooms max) so you will see the same guests over and over in the dining area etc. the staff we so helpful and accommodating. They recommended a wine tasting that was a 30 min walk down the road to the castle town of Montefioralle and it was a fantastic experience. The town of Greve is easy to get to and has everything you need including lots of places to eat. I agree with other reviewers who said drive slow on the road. It is completely doable and safe, just narrow. I will definitely be back here again someday.

We just stayed at the villa for 5 nights . It is nestled up beautiful yet narrow roads especially at night from Greve Chianti. The place is beautiful with gorgeous outside gardens where we had breakfast daily . We also had a delicious dinner in their beautiful tranquil dining room . The staff was superb and helpful with my many questions. We went to many wineries and traveled to multiple beautiful small towns daily .The rooms are beautifully decorated as well. My husband and I can’t wait to return !

We were three friends that visited Villa Bordoni in August. Beautiful location, beautiful room and super friendly staff that gave us a lovely stay. The sunrise over Toscanawas a beautiful way to start the day. Highly recommended Villa Bordoni! We will be back!

My husband and I had a fantastic few days at Villa Bordoni. Our room was quite spacious and even prettier in person. Fantastic large shower (a rarity in many of these older Italian villas) and refreshing cold AC (again, a rarity). We enjoyed a dinner at the villa one evening which was fantastic. The views are breathtaking. The pool was lovely and a nice reprieve from the hot summer weather in July. The staff were extremely helpful in assisting with reservations and making suggestions for areas to visit nearby. Would definitely return!
