Das Achental Resort

Where do I begin? Staying at the Das Achental was an amazing experience! 1) The room was beautifully designed with a large bathroom, very comfortable bed and the sheer amount of flowers hanging from every balcony in the hotel was stunning. 2) My wife and I felt welcomed from the start. All the staff were kind, courteous and helpful. 3) The included breakfast was vast and delicious, one of the best we've ever had (and great cappuccinos). 4) We throughly enjoyed the grounds and the nearby hiking on rustic, forest trails. 5) The golfing was also a nice treat, great, challenging, well-kept course. There is a driving range, golf lessons and swing analyzer and state-of-the-art golf carts. Also, don't miss the picturesque beer hut by a lovely pond by hole 10. 6) The Spa was exceptional. Great selection of treatments, Indoor and Outdoor pools, Quiet room, and 6-8 various saunas and steam rooms!! 7) ES:SENZ is a must go! A 2-Star Michelin restaurant in the hotel that highlights local ingredients from nearby farms. It was a master class in culinary excellence and is definitely of 3-Star quality!!! Chef Edip Sigl was so welcoming (he came to our table twice to make sure we were enjoying ourselves). Definitely one of the top culinary experiences we've ever had. 8) The bar and other restaurant are also excellent with great upscale dishes as well as tasty burgers and club sandwiches. And very well-made drinks with a personal touch!! (We sat outside most meals and enjoyed the lovely grounds and sounds of birds chirping). 9) Das Achental is 10 min from the Übersee train station which makes for easy access to Munich or Salzburg. 10) Last, but definitely not least, GM Nikolai Bloyd was truly incredible. So delightful and personable, he tended to our needs and made us feel right at home. Nikolai has created an atmosphere of relaxed, but thoughtful service which permeates throughout all of the staff we encountered. Bottom Line: Das Achental is a must stay!!

Wow - I cannot say enough wonderful things about this incredible property & its kind, attentive staff. From the gracious welcome to the care taken to ensure a safe transfer & path home, not to mention everything in between, this resort strives to give unparalleled service at every turn. We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to sample many of the amenities. The golf course was perfectly maintained, spa staff & treatments a personally-curated luxury experience, there were superb culinary options, comfortable & friendly common areas & well-appointed rooms. I have already marked my calendar for a return visit. Kudos to Nikolai & the team for a job very well done. I cannot stress enough that Das Achental is a must when visiting southern Germany, or even better - make it your primary reason for a visit to Germany!

Stayed for a couple of very relaxing days, first class from start to finish.

Beautiful location , Lovely staff and very nice hotel.

Beautiful setting; the indoor pool and sauna(s) are a must to experience especially the ice scrub after! Breakfast buffet is unsurpassed. The rooms are gorgeous and I loved every moment there! the outdoor pool was refreshing; I stayed here for work in the area and the surrounding villages were charming; easy to get to and the staff very accommodating; I can't wait to stay here again if given the chance!

Great location with beautiful sceneries all around. Had stayed at ground floor with nice lawn to relax but believe the top floor has better view of the overlooking greenery and mountains. Spacious room and ample of toiletries. Comfy bed as well as great buffet with different food choice. Parking is available in front of the building for free. Would like to return if the price is a bit lower.

The property has nice outdoor and indoor pool area (with sun deck) and spacious sauna zone with sun room. all staff is very friendly and nice. Amazing breakfast included in the price with variety of fresh and local produce, very nicely done eggs benedict and waffles, and yes - even champagne is served. When we arrived (Friday night) - there was live jazz music in the bar. And all of this - included in the price.

Ein gelungener, erholsamer Urlaub, in einem Hotel, wo man sich von Anfang an wie zuhause fühlt. Gratulation für das engagierte Team des gesamten Achental. Wir haben selten so gut geschlafen, dank super guten Betten, hochwertigen Zudecken und Kissen. Überall wurde viel Holz und Naturstein verbaut. Viel Wert wurde im ganzen Haus auch auf Blumenschmuck gelegt. Der Concierge hatte gute Wandertips parat, das Golfteam erfüllte jeden Wunsch, der Service in den Restaurants war perfekt und zuvorkommend. Das ganze Haus wirkte geschmackvoll, hochwertig ausgestattet und gut gepflegt. Noch nie habe ich eine solch gepflegte Drivingrange erlebt, die Abschläge waren besser als auf manchen Plätzen die Grüns. Die Gartenanlage und der Golfplatz waren in einem tollen Zustand. Ein runderherum stimmige Wohlfühloase mit unzähligen Ausflugsziel, der Achental Bus war mit Gästekarte gratis und hielt vor der Haustür. Es gab reichlich kostenfreie Parkplätze vor dem Hotel im Freien. Uns fehlte nur das Bidet. Daher 99,9 Punkte von 100!
