Loved the hotel. The staff were always really friendly and super helpful. The hotel and grounds always clean and tidy, and there were plenty of areas to relax around the pool. Breakfast was delicious, and the view from 360-degree restaurant and bar was amazing. Really can't fault the hotel in anyway. We had a problem with the tv in our room but reported it via the hotel app, and it was fixed within the hour. We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone. If we return to Gran Canaria, we will be staying here.

This hotel was not to our taste. Decor is dark and dreary. Generally it is all style over substance. Service on the two days we spent here was not great. There seemed to be staff training going on - student hospitality interns at reception, restaurant and rooftop bar. Breakfast was disappointing. The hot buffet was cold and the queue for the only coffee machine was frustrating. The saving grace is the roof top bar which was very pleasant and the food was nice. Miriam was a great host albeit working with limited staff resources. Brava to her.
This hotel is part of the Bull Hotels chain, and I chose it for its location on Las Canteras beach and for its spa facilities. I spent three nights here and treated myself to a Junior Suite. It was huge with a west facing balcony with a glimpse of the sea. The rooftop pool was lovely with an attentive lifeguard on duty. I also made use of the spa with its hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room and Dead Sea pool. I was slightly disappointed with the evening meals in that I expected more of a choice. Men are supposed to wear long trousers but I noticed some men wearing shorts. The hotel's location on the beach is perfect. In the evening, the promenade is busy with people walking up and down - nice atmosphere. The Santa Catalina bus station is ten minutes walk away with good connections to the rest of the island. Las Palmas is a busy bustling city with a very different feel to the resorts in the south. I enjoyed my stay but three nights was long enough.
Terrific value - recommended Stayed one week. Good location, only 10 mins from cruise terminal and a level walk to bus station Euro2.80 per person to airport, buses depart from Las Palmas 15 mins and 45 mins past the hour. (Taxi about Euro 30) Great sun terrace although some mattresses would improve the comfort of the sun loungers! More drawers in wardrobes would be a good addition too. Breakfast quite good but perhaps more variation in hot dishes would be welcome by other guests. If possible some quieter door closures would be a courtesy to other sleeping guests. Very fast wi-fi , we had as requested a quiet room on the 6th floor with prompt lift access. Spotlessly clean clean and quiet throughout. Receptionist Irene is a credit to her employer for helpfulness and providing translations. Manager Hose also an excellent communicator especially with prompt email exchanges before visiting the hotel. Hose even helped with our luggage on departure.
ผผู้เข้าพักGreat location but the hotel is too dark, and lacks any atmosphere. There is no information pack or anything in the room that explains about the hotel and what is available and I thought this was very poor for a so called 5 star hotel and I have never experienced this before. The de luxe double room, although a decent size is a terrible design - you go to the seperate toilet (next to a great shower room)and then you have to go to the sink, which is in the middle of the room by the wardrobes. How unhygienic is this!! Despite paying over £3000 for a 7 day holiday, this hotel charges you for the large four poster style beds by the pool if you use them and if you use the roof top beds and infinity pools, that will also cost you 50 euros per day. They had an A la Cart menu in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner but this was very poor. 4 times in seven days they had no Advocardo’s. Twice I asked the chef at the buffet counter what the fish was and he did not know. Signage at the buffet counters is very poor - these were often mixed up or not there at all. If you have a severe nut allergy this hotel is not for you. They have a dress code in the restaurant in the evenings, but this is not in force, as there were many occasions where men were allowed in wearing shorts….so no dress code at all! They have a decent sized gym, but it’s right next to the smoking area. Smoking is not permitted in the bedroom and balconies we were told yet nearly every evening we could smell cigarette smoke if we left our balcony door open. Complained but no action was taken. As far as I can tell by reading all the reviews for this hotel, some of the complaints that I have made have been made by other people, so the company is clearly not acting on these. This is why I have only given them 2 stars, which is very poor for such a great location. Change of management needed clearly!
TTraveler59829514081We stayed in the hotel for a few nights before a cruise. It’s in an ideal location. 200 metres from the Canteras beach and 400 metres from Santa Catalina bus station which is just beside the cruise terminal. The commercial centre is 600 metres away. There’s a lot of restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets in the immediate surrounding area. A taxi to the old town is 6 Euros. Rooms are modern, clean, have a free safe, mini fridge, complimentary water & toiletries, and a nice bathroom with powerful shower. A quiet room coupled with comfortable beds and great latex pillows meant we got a good night’s sleep. We prepaid breakfast which offered high quality cereals, cold cuts, cheeses, pastries, breads, fruit and some hot options together with juices and coffee. The hotel has left luggage lockers and a courtesy toilet and shower facilities which we appreciated as we had a late flight. Staff were excellent: professional, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
Really big rooms, very spacious and a nice cute small hotel with nice staff and good review. Good overall was good and different every night, could have maybe done a wider breakfast menu. The entertainment team was hit and miss. Aircon was weak so took 6 hours for the room to cool down, although they leave it on for you after check in thankfully so stayed at a decent temperature after check in. Sometimes issues with food temperature, and some of the serving staff a bit slow when waiting for cooked live items. However overall food was good. The main issue with the hotel is the sunbeds. They make a big fuss about not reserving them but there literally all always reserved and you end up way to the side or in the shade. The ones by the pool are comfy but the other ones are very lumpy. The hotel facilities don’t seem to be big enough for how many people there is. Not enough sun beds, luggage room full, can’t accom date late check out. However all in all the staff work hard and are polite, facilities are good and it’s got a nice communal feel and everything is laid out for easy use.
This hotel was one of best hotels I have stayed in. It was quiet when it needed to be. There was plenty of high quality enertainment which we found useful when the weather was not too good on a couple of evenings. The food and drink on our ”all inclusive” rating was to a high standard but if we wanted to go to a restaurant during the day or evening there were plenty all close by to choose from. On our last day we were to be picked up at 5.15 pm. Most hotels I have stayed in state the rooms have to be vacated by 10 am. Here it was midday which made a massive difference to us. All our food and drink was continued to be supplied free and we were allowed to shower and change in the luxury spa area when we had finished our day. All in all we cant fault this hotel and I could praise it further but I feel sure anyone reading this will be confident that they will enjoy a stay there.
5547deejBasic hotel, cheap, and somewhat dated, but all I needed was a place to sleep while my husband was in hospital close by. Was clean, bathroom was spoiled by the toilet seat being at an angle and shifted suddenly when sat upon. Rather noisy, but city centre, so it came with the territory. Staff were friendly but fairly casual. My main problem was I initially booked for one night, as I had the offer of a room attached to the hospital, but I didn't know when that would be available to me. I explained the situation in my somewhat broken Spanish, and was offered another couple of nights at the hotel. I agreed to one more night, and paid for it. However a couple of hours later (and a couple of hours after hotel check out time) I was contacted by the hospital and offered a room, which was perfect for me. I told Hotel Valencia what had happened, and I would be checking out immediately. I'd expected a refund or at least a part refund as I hadn't stayed for the second night, although the room had been serviced that morning (still with the toilet seat from hell!) But no, no offer of a refund as a sign of goodwill just a casual goodbye. I realise technically they were within their rights to keep my payment but I was disappointed that they didn't waive my bill in view of my very stressful circumstances. Very disappointed at their attitude.
