On the balance, Hotel Lorensberg was great bang for my buck. Real emphasis on the value dynamic though. The room is a small hallway with a single bed and a desk... it's pretty cozy. Service was mostly great, though for some reason, the room cleaners refused to take away empty bottles, cans, etc. Didn't quite get that. The wifi is... passable, for the most part, but it can be pretty rough at times. So heads up if you're in town for work.

Started in a hostel and moved here. Really nice hotel, free tea and coffee at all hours and water vending in reception. They also do some really nice pastries. Staff are mega friendly and the hotel still has the original lift (although you can't use it, notnsure if you'd want to).
Location is really good, right near Liseberg and the hockey stadium, lots of restaurants nearby and the bus and tram stop is 50m up the road.
100% would stay here again.

Lorensberg is a nice standard hotel with a good location in the city. Easy access to Avenyn, Liseberg, restaurants, cafes the tram and much more. Parking in the city is very expensive. Breakfast was good, with nice variety and something for everyone.
