Four Points by Sheraton Newark Christiana Wilmington

We checked in around 11am. As soon as we arrived we noticed used dirty towels in the bathroom. Hair in the sink and no coffee cups and a water bottle and plastic over the table in the room. One of the beds were messy and unset. Called the front desk and the lady apologized and said they would fix it right away. Me and my fiancée left so they could and came back to the same picture. Mind you on the way back a cleaning employee was sitting in a room doorway chatting away and laughing on the phone. Whatever not a big deal. We cleaned up the mess and settled in to relax. At the end of the day I was resetting the other bed that we slept in bc of the other not being clean and noticed a dark large yellow stain on the sheets that was hidden by a thick cover. So disgusting knowing we slept on a stained bed. We went to check out early and we’re told there was no extra charge for this and was told the same thing in the AM before we booked. Now they just charged me an extra 50$? Why? This hotel was a disappointment and turned a day that was supposed to be relaxing and a break from everything into another hectic day. Very disappointed knowing I payed 120 for a hotel that wasn’t even worth 60$. I would love a refund.

Hotel was clean and quiet. Staff were pleasant. It was close to the hospital and parking was plentiful.

The hotel is conveniently located near shopping and major highways. It's clean and quiet and the room is clean and spacious.

The location—somewhat out-of-the-way—probably allows for lower prices than comparable accommodations located “where the action is.” Short drive to every kind of shopping. Our main complaint was lack of safety features in tub (no grab bars or rubber mat), no washcloths and no shower cap. But friendly, helpful staff and much quieter than many hotels. Convenient parking, too.

The service at the front desk and the restaurant was great. Unfortunately, there were coffee grinds in the hot water canister and it stayed that way after I asked twice to fix it. The bodywash dispenser was empty upon my arrival to the room and I had to ask twice to have it re-filled. The water dispenser in the lobby didn't work.

It was a a stay from hell . I was humiliated mocked and made a spectacle by a female employee calling herself manager after I asked for compensation when the water was out for 11 hrs . The female employees at the reception mocked me and I a single female felt unsafe . It all started on Monday during my check in when there was a small notice that water will be out for 4 hrs in Tuesdays . I went to work without water and hoped that when I come back the water will be back . I came back at 5 and there was no water . Since I booked through expedía I called then on Tuesday and informed them . No help or any information was provided by the hotel and I had to call twice to get any information about the water. Again I had booked for 4 nights and on Wednesday when I came back from work I went to the reception. They said they are offering 20 Percebt discount on the stay . Since I had booked through ******* I had already paid full . The lady at the reception said they will honor it if I extend the stay . As I had been at a new job and was exhausted I said I will come back . She noted down my room no in a red log book fully visible to me and everyone else . The next day when I went to book the stay there was another receptionist . She was completely clueless and when I mentioned that check the red book still visible she just didn’t . Then the humiliation began . A very tall woman came in and said she is the manger . She just began talking rudely with me . Kept on repeating on phrase “ I a

Upon checkin front desk told me breakfast was extra even though I added during ******* booking. Bar did not have ingredients to make Moscow mule. Restaurant did not have clam chowder and waited 15 minutes to inform us. Was at breakfast for restaurant at 6am. Server waited until 615 to tell us chef was not available and no hot breakfast was available today. It took another 15 minutes to bring out yogurt, bagels, and cereal. Wife had to ask several times for milk and plates. Sever rolled eyes and ignored first request. Wife had to go into kitchen and ask again. 640 am we gave up on breakfast and checked out very disappointed with service and staff responsiveness.

I booked a room for a single night and then booked a room for the following night, so a two night stay. I mentionned this to the clerk at the counter at the beginning of our stay and was told that I would have to come to the desk the following morning to stay in the same room. I follow her instructions and was able to keep our belongings in the room for that day. When I returned in the evening, the room had not been serviced. I went to the desk to alert them and asked for fresh towels, but I wanted to have something to eat at their restaurant first and found that the hotel restaurant was closed that evening. I received fresh towels after returning from a local restaurant. The next morning my wife and I got our day started early to travel home and wanted to have breakfast at the hotel restaurant but was informed by the hostest that they were out of many breakfast foods, but they may be able to make a simple omlet, so we checked out of the hotel without eating.
