We stayed 2 nights at this hotel (Friday and Saturday) for the weekend. It is an expensive 4-star boutique hotel in Glasgow city centre. After the first night, our room was not cleaned for the second night. They did not clean the room floor, they did not check and refill the soap bottle in the bathroom, they did not clean and refresh the coffee-tea tray, they did not supply new tea and coffee, they did not supply clean coffee cups and glasses, the bathroom floor was left dirty, they did not clean it. They did not clean the study desk at all. They only emptied the trash bins, provided new towels and made the bed quick and ugly way. The regular bed decoration was left on the floor.
We asked for soap, coffee and tea, and new cups and glasses, and a gentleman brought them at night. The tea bags he brought were not in paper coverage, he brought them in his hands so, of course, we did not use them. This service was completely out of our expectations for a 4-star hotel.
The tap in the bathroom sink was not working properly. The water was flowing very very hot all the time.
We did not enjoy staying at this hotel at all. Their service was unacceptable. We complained to reception about this inconvenience and asked them to switch us to another new room but they did not find any adjustment to make us happy. They said since we booked our room through trip.com they can not reimburse or give us any vouchers etc. They only gave some minor IHG Club points which I do not care about. We did not stay in this hotel for free, we paid full price for our purchase through trip.com and the hotel management treated us very poorly because of this purchase. In summary, this hotel ruined our weekend vacation.
