Pilot Amphora Boutique Hotel "Adults Only"

The hotel is fabulous and the manager and staff make hotel an experience you will not forget. . Beautiful modern,clean spacious hotel nestled in the village. We had a gorgeous room with a Mountain View, for our 30th wedding anniversary. We arranged a mountain trek and on telling the manager ‘Panos’ he went out of his way to arrange iced water for our walk and a breakfast picnic for us to take, on our early start. He is so accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. The staff are so friendly, so happy to help, this includes Menia and Stefan. The housekeeping lady who cleaned our room was also an absolute treasure and the room was immaculate. The staff are constantly smiling, they work so hard, and they have made our stay at the hotel superior to any 5* we have stayed at before. We also had an issue retuning to London due to a fire at the airport. Again, Panos arranged for us to have the same room, dinner at the hotel (which is amazing too) and just looked after us as we were stressed and worried about getting back to the UK. I cannot recommend this hotel enough - it is definitely something special and I am hard to please where hospitality is concerned. What an amazing team here that go above and beyond to make it the wonderful boutique hotel that it is. We will come back and we will tell all our friends that they must visit too!

This was our third visit to Georgioupolis in 18 months and our second stay at the Pilot Amphora this year. The reason we went back was for to see Panos and his amazing team again. They did not disappoint & demonstrated what so many hotels get wrong, that balance between warmth and professionalism. There seems to be a natural understanding that, even for a short stay like ours, it is not a transactional relationship, but one that encourages you to feel part of something and makes you want more of it! Something that seems inherent in most Cretan hospitality it seems. We will be looking for any excuse to go back.

Such a lovely new small hotel with great staff. The food was exceptional and we felt very spoiled. We had a room with a small pool which was wonderful. It's the people working there that really make it. Enjoyed the live peaceful music over dinner. Breakfast outstanding. They will take you to the free beach at a sister hotel (just a few minutes away).

Superb journey there. We have booked a bungalow for 2 if us and for a week. The room was perfect. The hotel is really well situated as downtown but not on the beach and so very quiet. The all staff was absolutely lovely and carefull ! The breakfast was also very good and generous. Do not hesitate a second!

Stayed here for 4 night with friends and family. We all loved the hotel. Breakfast was delicious with freshly squeezed orange juice every morning. Rooms are really lovely and well equipped. The pool area is beautiful. Hotel is very close to beach, tavernas and shops. Highly recommended.

We stayed for just over a week at this gorgeous hotel. We stayed in the room that had a private pool attached. The room spacious and clean, the private pool was amazing. The bar and restaurant staff were always available to provide outstanding service and a friendly smile. Georgioupolis is such a peaceful town and a great location between Chania and Rethymno, buses leave regularly to both places. Pilot Amphora was a tasteful, friendly and relaxing hotel. We loved our stay there!! Thank you! :) P.S. make sure to visit Poseidon restaurant around the corner if you stay here and like seafood. It was delicious!

Perfect hotel! First of all, the hotel staff is stunning, helpful and kind. We stayed for a whole week and enjoyed every moment. The food, the pool, the room - everything is clean and tidy. If you are looking for peace and rest, this is the place. Thanks for everything, Evgeni and Ortal.

The staff was very accommodating. They will help you with everything. We didn’t have to wait for more than two minutes if we wanted a ride to the beach resort. Dinner was good (but stay away from the onion soop), and the breakfast was excellent. The rooms were really nice. Perfect for couples. We will definitely come here again!

What a beautiful hotel. What a fantastic team of passionate, dedicated - wonderful people. They are true hospitaltity professionals and generous, warm and caring hosts. Their love for making your Greek holiday special transpires in everything they do, and nothing is ever too much for them. We travelled with as a group of six and had three rooms, they all were very nicely layed out and clearly very neatly kept clean. We did not find any issues at all, and the presentation of the rooms is very comfortable, with a clearly well thought-out vision and design. When we arrived, we were offered a lovely and very refreshing welcome drink in the lounge. This was a nice touch and made us feel welcome and relaxed. The gentleman from Front Desk then explained the facilities and guided us to the room, and walked us through the amenities, all in perfect English. Throughout the stay, we often found ourselves around the bar/lounge area, which is truly the heart of the hotel. It is where breakfast, lunch, dinner, poolside drinks, evening drinks, etc. all take place and where you will often find the team ready to help with any request. They introduced us to mountain tea, made with Cretan herbs, and often we found that asking "what should we have?" resulted in a perfect recommendation from the team; from Strawberry Daiquiri, to freshly made smoothies, the aforementioned tea, or a cold beer. They seemed to always know the right drink to make for us all of us in the group. They enjoyed sharing stories about themselves and listen to ours, they knew our names after only meeting us once or twice, they learned our breakfast preferences and never-ever forgot to smile a genuine and bright smile. This hotel feels like a perfect oasis of calm and sophistication, and an impressive 5* experience. We truly loved our stay here, and it is all down to the team that made us feel like royalty.
