This is my second time stay at The Edison. I love it so much. The room, facilities and especially the hospitality. It feels like staying at your own home. Will definitely repeat again.

A very beautiful and retro building design. Feeling quiet and relax once stepped into the hotel.

This hotel aims to please and the manager is actively involved in everyday operation. Despite the initial room assignment problem it was resolved to our satisfaction and we are particularly pleased with the insider recommendation of places to eat and visit. Our trip was made so much better just following their recommendations. Areas for improvement is there’s no full length mirror and plug for hair drying in the toilet. Drying at the plug in bedroom is inconvenient as there’s no mirror. Plug placement are not well thought out and finally room soundproofing is bad. Areas that was a hit - 24 hour lounge was great, beautiful design and spacious room.

Awesome experience from pre-arrival communications, arrival welcome and throughout the stay! This historical building is situated opposite Red Garden Food Paradise and near Cheong Fatt Tze, it is walking distance to most spots for new and seasoned Penang visitors. Albert the Manager and all the staff are ways friendly, attentive, accommodating and full of advice on where to explore and enjoy the Penang they love deeply. Any issues highlighted are quickly attended to. The rooms are on the first (Malaysia ground) and second floors. There are no lifts and no ramp anywhere. The steps to second floor retain the original design which is pretty steep and requires care when walking. Please request for the rooms in the lower floor of this is an issue. The room is spacious and basic amenities are in place. The bed and pillows are very comfortable! No tea making facilities in the room; there is a provided water jar and cups. Water can be refilled at the 24-hour "The Lounge", which I used a lot throughout the stay. Do note the ensuite bathroom area has a thick curtain as its door. So rooms might be more suitable for solo or couple travellers. The Lounge is open 24 hours and has coffee machine, soft drinks, fruit juices and local titbits. Breakfast, provided at The Lounge, is a continental set and sometimes a local breakfast item like Nasi Lemak will be available as well. The daily 6 to 7 pm complimentary cheese and wine hour is thoroughly enjoyable. A thoroughly enjoyable stay that I cna highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at the Edison's. Classy and comfortable. Only downside was the noise from the neighboring construction and the footsteps from above, as it is a heritage building.

Heritage experience! Really feel like home from doorstep until you go into ur room! Friendly services, cozy and comfortable design! Btw may be raining season, abit too much mosquitoes.

Im in love with this hotel. Luxury concept and yet affordable. The furnitures and interiors are just amazing. The hotel tour from hotel staff, Albert made it different experience from other hotels. I just hope the hotel could add variety to breakfast.

Perfect place for a staycation at Georgetown, Penang. Lovely and friendly staff. The best boutique hotel I have ever been. Totally recommended.

Location: Excellent location in Georgetown, just opposite Red Garden Food Paradise and Blue Mansion of Cheong Fatt Tze, and only few streets away from Love Lane. Building: 1906 heritage mansion with modern and clean interior. Room: Room is not big in size but with good spatial arrangement. No door but only curtain to separate bedroom & bathroom. Toiletries, hair dryer, TV with limited channel, and safety box provided. No mini bar in the room but you can get drink and snack from the lounge. Service: The Malay male receptionist is polite & helpful and the Chinese lady waitress in the lounge is friendly & always with smiling face. Express check in & check out. Turndown service is available. Facilities: 24/7 lounge and outdoor swimming pool. Limited free car parking space is provided with security guard. Food: Lounge is available 24/7 for all in house guest with variety of snack, coffee, tea, juice and soft drink. Complimentary a glass of white/red wine for pre-dinner wine hour. Continental breakfast was very simple. Area for improvement: Dust at the floor corner needs to be cleaned. No special arrangement was prepared for anniversary couple.

The location was superb! Its very strategic- nearby hostorical places, restaurants. The staffs were attentive & friendly. The only downside was the toilet bowl was not clean as there were poo stains on the seat. Perhaps a thorough cleaning can be done before every new guest’s check in.

Great hotel for couples to honeymoon. Hotel is very clean and the staff is so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Centrally located within walking distance to many good local food/stalls and historial landmarks, The Edison is a beautiful sanctuary in the city. It is as quaint as a boutique establishment can get. The heritage building has an old world charm which is not lost with the modern upgrade and design that was done on the building's interior. Rooms are large and immaculate. In the evening, you can even unwind over complimentery wine, and their common pantry area offers little snacks and coffee. Staff are always on hand to dish out insider tips on where to go, and what to do. For the discerning traveller who appreciates little touches of refinement or a place that feels more homely, this is the perfect hotel to spend a few nights.

Wonderful hotel. Kudos to the hotel staff Adzim, superb service & nice attitude! Will definitely pay my second visit again :)
