Having access to all the amenities of; “The Westin”, made our stay wonderful, just wonderful , what a great pick.

Checking it was flawless. No waiting for room. The grill was best place to eat on the island. Save some $ and stay here vs the Westin. You can use all of the Westin’s facilities and even charge back to your room at Sunshine. It’s about 5 minute walk to the beach but there’s a sushi place, a sports bar, a yogurt shop and a liquor store all on the way. Pool is nice and warm. Rooms are cozy with working appliances. We’d stay here again

Old, outdated, felt like I was in a motel. Difficult to navigate to our room throughout the property. The mosquitos ate us up. In our room and by the pool and in the little restaurant. It was as if they had nothing to keep the bugs from the property.

My husband and I have visited this property many times over the years. Before this visit, we stayed in March of 2020. We were disappointed that they discontinued the free continental breakfast in the Sunshine Cafe.
We had to request a new room due to the air conditioning leaking all over the carpet and leaving a musty smell. The rooms in general could use some updating. They accommodated a room change for us, but we then noticed the exhaust fan in the bathroom was broken. We didn’t want to change rooms again, so we just dealt with a steamy bathroom. All in all it is one of the more economical choices on the island, but could definitely use a refresh. I will mention that The Sunshine Grill has good food.

Housekeeping was slow to respond to issues. They advertised a complimentary bottle of wine which never came even after requested. Checkout was disorganized. Room was comfortable with some signs of wear. Location is good.

It was great
Low cost for a solo traveler
Felt very safe with cameras and hotel staff
Accidentally left valuables out in the open in the room and maid came in without me present - no issues with missing things!!! Awesome!

This is a decent place to stay for the price. There are a couple of things that could make it better.
1). Quicker service at front desk
2). Placed many calls to front desk and they said they would call me back and did not
3). The room had a very very musty smell to it. So much so, it made us sick in our lungs. Something must be done about this.
4). Pink mold in bathroom. Maids do not clean behind bathroom door. This is not healthy.
5). Bring back the breakfast
Other than that, the beds were comfy, restaurant was great, westin facilities were great. Would atay again just please take care of musty smell. Its not healthy.
Also, bring back Paco.
