Somehow I reserved for the wrong date and did not catch it. This caused the motel to reserve a room unnecessarily. Though the motel was within their right to charge me for the unused reservation, they did not, thanks to the friendly young gentleman at the office.
I was not looking for amenities, just a clean, functional room at a good price close to Ottawa (by car). This fit the bill and I would be happy to stay there again.

Doesn't smell- which is good. But IF you have just little bit more money, buy something else. This place need A LOT OF LOVE. Will not stay again.

very little space in bathroom, and sewer lid in shower was loose they put a rubber mat on top to prevent toe injury, but it kept water from draining...not very hygienic. Sink tap very loose also. Bathroom door woudn't open completely on my side of bed, problem with level of floor, needed to close it to get to bed. No coffee in room and no microwave, in office only. Refrigerator was inside wardrobe, very narrow space....and only one hanger available. No breakfast included.

It was quiet and the parking space was large, so parking was easy. The room was large enough for our family to stay.

The staff is pretty good, but everything else is in pretty run down shape.
The conditions of the facilities are pretty bad even for the 2 star motel.
For example:
Fridge is working, but shelves are broken and freezer is all covered in ice.
Microwave is only one in the main office.
Shower bath is missing the mat and is very slippery.
Water temperature could change from cold to scalding hot in matter of seconds if someone else opens the tap or flushes the toilet, which could cause burns.
Overall facilities are in pretty bad shape.
Can’t say it’s not cleaned properly, but rather it requires cosmetic and technical improvements.

The motel door would not close properly and out of adjustment and dead lock would not work and out of adjustment. Rep indicated that door needed to get slammed hard to get door to lock and the toilet was mounted against the wall so had to sit at an angle which was really strange as bathroom does not have enough room for the toilet to be mounted correctly so you can sit straight on it .
Hard to see in fridge as it was in a closet that was hard to open door an access fridge .

a. didn't have to mortgage my house for a pillow and a bed for a night or two. Basics all there and work well.
staff very helpful.
