Hotel Garni Alpengruss

Hotel Alpengruss was amazing! The rooms are recently renovated and absolutely beautiful. They are also very well soundproofed, if that is a concern. The owner family are all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent! No need to post photos, because the ones posted by the hotel are perfectly accurate. I communicated a number of times via email from the US with Gabi and Ana prior our arrival and they were always responsive. We stayed in the Junior Suite, and I felt the rate was very reasonable, particularly considering the quality of the lodging and the breakfast.

The decor of the interior of the hotel, and especially the rooms, was beautifully done and immaculately kept. For what it was, i.e. a small hotel in the city center of Partenkirschen, this hotel was great.

We are currently traveling through Oberbayern and stayed in this Hotel for three nights. The room was bigger than expected, the furnitures very stylish in Bayern Style. Very nice. The service was friendly and efficient, the room was clean. Everything was working as expected. The Breakfast was great with a lot of choices and you can even have freshly made eggs in any style. We will come back.

Very good value, breakfast included. Located 5 mins walk from the railway station and trains to the ski slopes. Excellent attention, service and friendliness from the breakfast lady.

We had a fantastic stay in this hotel. The check in process was easy, we had arrived at Garmisch station at 2pm, so after an easy 5 minute walk from the station we were able to check in as soon as we arrived. We were welcomed by a lovely roaring fire in the reception area. We booked a suite which was on the second floor, and was simply amazed by the quality of the refurbishment they had taken place. We couldn’t fault it. Breakfast was lovely. A platter of cold meats and cheeses and all the extras one would expect. The chap on breakfast duty deserves a medal. He copes very well with all the replenishment and cooking eggs to everyone’s taste. Over all we really couldn’t fault this hotel and will definitely be back. The only comment we would make is the possibility of supplying a kettle in the rooms. The hotel do supply tea and coffee nearby to the breakfast room, but the luxury of being able to make a cuppa in your room when we need it, would be great. Had a great stay! Nice and comfy

Very nice place in residential area within a little walk to restaurants and rail station. Excellent staff, Excellent included breakfast. Drawbacks are No Elevator and No Air Con. Some rooms could be hot hot in the summer, probably ok the rest of the year. Parking for about 10 cars onsite, beyond that on the street nearby which to me was not a big deal.

This was such a lovely place to stay in Garmisch! The neighborhood was really quiet, which was lovely, but had quick access to both Garmisch and Partenkirchen. The breakfast was amazing- the food was so good and I ate so so much- perfect for fueling for a big hike. The terraces are lovely- I woke up to an amazing, private view of the Zugspitze.
