Located in the heart of the city, 3HB Faro is the hotel in the city of Faro, distinguished for its urban chic style, welcoming environment and intuitive service. In the hotel’s architecture, by the architect Miguel Abreu, it is patent the inspiration in the traditional culture of Algarve, a perfect symmetry between classic and contemporary. Something that is also reflected on the rooms where the design and decoration were tailored by the renowned interior designer Paulo Lobo. The hotel has 2 restaurants - Hábito located on the rooftop and Forno Nero near the traditional shopping street of Faro - SPA and gym, meeting rooms and a rooftop with infinite swimming pool from where you can contemplate the city and the beautiful Ria. Just 15 minutes away from Faro Airport our hotel enjoys from a privileged location for those who wish to explore the region. From the internationally renowned and awarded golf courses and golden sand beaches, to the traditional mountains and fishermen’s islands where traditions are still very much rooted. There are plenty of reasons to discover this region. Algarve waits for you and we’ll be here to welcome you.

My wife and I stayed at this Hotel at the start of June 2023 for 5 nights. I cannot be more complimentary about the service we received from reception staff, breakfast staff and the two 'managers'. My wife has limited mobility and would use a wheel chair. Everything possible was done to make her stay as full as possible and our lovely room, at the front of the hotel was full of tech and extremely comfortable. Not a beech hotel but a glorious city break base, and Faro has more to offer than you might think. Many thanks to Ricardo and his team. Apologies if spelling is not perfect.
Good hotels, such as this, have common features. This had some particular ones. Our dawn-view of the sun rising over the harbour and Old Faro town was one, followed by breakfast on the 5th Floor. We walked in our first day to the strains of La vie en rose on a petit-grand. Fernando's relaxed piano style matched our mood and the splendid view our over the Rio Formosa to the islands and the sea. Breakfast looked varied, but I concentrated on the bread and cakes. These, and good coffee, say 'Portugal' to me. Life felt good. Eva is close to easy and interesting strolling in the sun. We had lunch on the 5th floor on our last day (3rd). It was busy, mainly with locals, enjoying a winter-solstice fest. This time the piano played by Andre, son of our breakfast entertainer. A lighter style but both saying 'class'

When we checked in everything seemed okay until we got to our room. The room was way smaller than what was shown in the pictures on ***********, for the type of room we booked. They definitely gave us a smaller room than what we paid for. Apart from that, 4 (!) lamps in our room were broken and hanging loose from the wall and ceiling, exposing the electrical wires. The bathroom had mold in it, the showerhead was broken and the cup provided in the bathroom wasn't clean at all. We went to the front desk the same evening. The owner told us she didn't know about this (we later found out they just didn't care). She told us she could call maintenance the day after. They didn't have any other rooms available. And we had to come back again the day after. She didn't seem to wanna help us/care at all. The next day we talked to this other member of staff who offered moving us to one of their other properties in the city. She asked us to come back again the next morning. The next morning we spoke to someone different again about us being moved to the different property. Suddenly there was a different room available in the same property. When we got to the room we came to the conclusion that this was the room type we actually paid for. We also found out that they put new people in our old room without fixing anything. Overall the service was very disappointing and we weren't the only ones with problems. We also overheard other guests complaining at the front desk. The hotel also didn't offer any breakfast service even though they do mention this on ***********. The rooftop bar also wasn't open and there wasn't any other food or drinks service provided apart from a communal hostel kitchen. The rooms don't have hotel basics like a mini fridge, a safe and a kettle for tea. You can definitely get a better room somewhere else for a better price.
First of all we have to say that we usually stay in hotels during our trips - however this time we tried out the Opus One in Faro because it looked really cozy and nice on the pictures...and we weren't disappointed ;-) The building and the decoration itself is very charming, the staff is super friendly and obliging and the breakfast is outstanding and delicious. Additionally, we tried out the wine and cheese pairing which was very informative and tasteful. We were also able to park our car near Opus One for free. We would definitely book again! ;-)
My stay at Roots Hotel in Faro was absolutely delightful, and I can’t recommend it enough. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the Marina, the main train station, and the iconic Bone Church, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. Even before check-in, the exceptional service began. The staff kindly offered to store my luggage free of charge, which made my day so much easier. Every staff member I encountered during my stay was incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming—they truly made the experience special. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautifully designed apartments that feel both luxurious and comfortable. My apartment included an amazing balcony area with breathtaking views—it was the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring. The free coffee available throughout the stay was another lovely touch, and it was genuinely great quality. Breakfast was served from their charming breakfast box for just €10, and it was incredible! Packed with delicious items, it left me completely full and ready for my journey home. Roots Hotel perfectly blends style, comfort, and outstanding service. If you’re planning a trip to Faro, don’t hesitate to book here—I’ll absolutely be back!
LLilolalo66Very nice hostel, with good location and perfect conditions for socializing. Clean rooms, nice staff and well equipped kitchen. My personal highlight the roof terrace. Relaxed atmosphere, perfect place to start the Portugal trip☺️
We spent one night at this lovely B&B. Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff! Quiet area. Our family room was just the right size for the length of our stay. Plenty of hot water for multiple showers in a row. Breakfast was a full-course meal on the rooftop terrace. The old town was within walking distance for dinner. Cons: Parking was free but it was in an open public carpark just up the street. Locating the building was a little challenging. Overall - quaint B&B in beautiful Faro - would highly recommend!
ผผู้เข้าพักIts very good place for stay, its clean, comfortably, it’s close every where, restaurants, coffee shop, shopping, bus, port etc. The room it’s comfortable, there is TV, condition ar, the bathroom is spacious and clean. There is nice kitchen for preparing your lanche.
I really enjoyed this hotel. It's a distance from all the faro amenities, but it only a few euros in an Uber to reach the heart of faro. There is a free shuttle bus each morning and evening to take you to and from the faro old town and the beach, but we chose to do things on our own schedule. It was only my son and I who stayed here for 4 nights. We loved how quiet the pool area was, and spent lots of time there. The hotel is basic, but clean and served our needs well. The air conditioning in the room was a must! The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were all friendly, particularly the lady working at the bar. The hotel was clean, although a little dated. But that didn't bother us. Breakfast wasn't the best I've seen, but we enjoyed what he ate. Quality of food in general was poor. We had dinner by the pool one night, and it was terrible. But that is the only negative of our holiday. We booked the shuttle bus to take us to the airport after check out. This was a seamless process, and it was very helpful. All in all, we enjoyed our few days spent at hotel Monaco.
