Hampton Inn St. Louis/Fairview Heights

Hotel is very badly staffed...dirty and not up to a hilton standard hotel. Room was dirty..bed broke in the middle of the night...pool is not heated. Take pics of the room before u stay and make sure to report it to the front desk...they will charge you for everything

The rooms were terrible. You don't have a refrigerator or microwave in the room anymore, and why is there a chaise in the room, and it's not blocking the closet? They are just terrible, and they really need to be remodeled.

Checked in just after 12am on a Friday. After the nearby Holiday Inn said they couldn't accept time of check-in, because check-in isn't till 3pm and couldn't make changes in the system. The counter worker at Hampton understands people traveling, check in at all times and made the adjusment to get myself and my family in a room. Love seeing people taking care of each other in todays world!!

The bathroom light covering was broken and fixed with tape. The transformer for the bathroom light wasn't working properly, it made a loud humming sound whenever it was turned on. The tv reception was terrible. The tv itself was tiny. I saw a large spider craw across the wall.

The pool was closed since early January and the beds were uncomfortable and the ac/heater was loud. Dead lightbulbs and broken remote for old tv

The bed was so hard I could have bounced quarters off of it, the pillows were just as bad. The lock on our door was falling off. The bottles of soap in the bathroom were empty. It smelled very musty and there were cobwebs all over the ceiling in our room.

Upon arrival they did not have our confirmation which I think that was more cheap tickets than them. But nonetheless, cheap tickets customer service was top notch and figured it out within 10-20min. But what we didn’t like about the hotel is that upon arrival it was so dirty. The front desk clerk who was also active manager was vacuuming so I’m assuming they are short staffed. She was very nice and helpful. But the place was dirty. Then we find out the pool is not working/ unavailable. We couldn’t check in early due to not having rooms available (which was a good thing) at the end. So we left to eat but before leaving my husband went to investigate why the pool was unavailable. There was a big red sign that it was shut down by the health and wellness administration due to misuse or no use of correct cleaning and maintenance. So my husband flipped! He went off telling me what else have they not been cleaning well. So I can to cancel our reservation with no cancellation fee which the front desk did for us because she understood our concerns. Staff was great, the condition of the place not so much.

The ladies that work there are wonderful! The guests that were next door were very rude and disrespectful. They were loud and very loud at 3 am to 7 am.

We have stayed there several times…no frills like no clock. No hair dryer, shower shampoo, conditioner and body was dispensers were dry. Several light bulbs burned out, seems like they could do better
