Premier Inn Exeter Central St Davids

An ok hotel very near the train station. They were very short staffed just 2 staff running reception and the restaurant, also very strangely the staff told us not to have their baby cot as poor quality. Appreciate the honesty but would recommend this is sorted

Location is good and convenient. Suitable for a short stay.

The hotel is very central to Exeter. Staff are very friendly in particular a young lady called Paige. Very helpful and nothing to much trouble. Room has been refurbed since we last stayed. Everything was clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent continually being topped up with fresh items, never in abundance. Well done team St David's.

The hotel is in a very convenient position opposite the station but rooms were quiet. Very comfortable room. Breakfast was fine apart from the coffee: the machine was broken and only sachdets of instant coffee powder were available.

I would like to leave a negative review as my room had been given away because I was late due to traffic issues and when a room was eventually provided it smelled strongly of excrement which the manager whose name was Bob or Barry agreed with, I obtained some air freshener Robert to cover the smell which the manager asked me about on my way back into the hotel. After about an hour and a half in the room the smell became unbearable and I spoke to the manager again. He said he would find me another room in the afternoon as they were fully booked at that time. I late rang the manager to say I had found another place to stay and he said he would cancel my charges for that day and speak to his manager about getting a refund for the night I couldn’t stay due to the smell. I never received a refund and was charged for both nights and got no apology.

Room and hotel generally up to Premier Inn standards but the food service left a little to be desired. We only had breakfast but had to wait both mornings for certain items of food at the buffet. We heard people were waiting 90 minutes for their evening meal at could here the complaints at reception.

Stayed at the Premiere Inn hotel from 20th to 24th May 2024. One minute walk from station. Refurbished to a high standard since previous visit in 2022. Rooms on the third floor are now designated Premier Plus and are very well appointed. Great choice of fare at breakfast and evening meal. Friendly and attentive staff. Would recommend.

I visited Exeter for the weekend and stayed in this hotel. Despite there being minor renovations taking place I had a lovely stay. My room was perfect, good size and seriously comfy bed. Breakfast was also great - good price and really great selection of cooked food. Would definitely stay here again

We were a group of 12 cyclists who go on holiday together twice a year. We stay in either Premier Inns or Travelodges for three nights. We rely on wifi to keep in touch, making arrangements for each day. We prefer Premier Inns, one of the reasons being that the wifi is usually reliable. The wifi this time was very poor overall and non existent in some rooms, making it very difficult to keep in touch with each other.
