Lovely resort, room (family apartment) modern and spacious. Staff lovely. Great attention to detail - lifeguards at pools and beaches being one example. Balances children’s fun at waterpark / kids club and family disco with a good g and t or negroni for the parents in the evening. Only point to note is that it’s a bit of a pain to get into the a la carte restaurants but once in are good. The Greek one was our favourite. Overall classy resort that meets children’s and parents holiday needs delivered professionally at a great setting. Would recommend a direct transfer from the airport if possible as can take a while after flight with kids.

We had a lovely time the hotel was ideal and we were very well catered for, the room was lovely and cleaned daily, the atmosphere around the hotel was lovely, pools and beach were great , lots of options for food and drinks

Family of six, good check-in, two nice rooms- the only requirement for two extra’s pillows was immediately met. First breakfast great choice of hot or cold as were all subsequent ones.Lunches offer wide choices around the various pool bars. Evening food also great choices & we booked the speciality restaurants on three nights. Good quality drinks- beers, wines & spirits, nice bar staff. Water park fantastic for the kids (& adults), smaller pools very safe for the smaller children, beach area good. Never unable to find a sunlounger on any part of the resort. All pools & areas spotless, no rubbish anywhere. Maybe not 5*, but not advertised as such but definitely 4+*, going back next year. Download the hotel app as looking at menus & booking reservations in advance a good idea although a bit slow at times. No issues whatsoever with any other guests or their families, a great week away in nonstop sunshine.

Amazing experience!The feeling of freedom and the memories of your childhood that the resort creates are unique! Friendly staff, great Grecoland for kids. Extraordinary beach! We will definitely comeback and recommend it to our friends. See you next year !

We had high expectations of this hotel as it looked great in the photos. On arrival we were very disappointed. There is no way this is a 5 star hotel. I would give it 2 or 3 at most. The main communal area is very low rent, with lots of concrete and the feeling of Butlins in the 90's. The restaurants are all placed around the central "square" so all are dominated by the loud "entertainment", which was very poor. The food at the buffet was basic and cold. Our room was extremely basic and had a view over a derelict lot next door. The "mini-bar" was actually a cheap fridge in the corner of the room, containing a couple of cans of Fanta. The hotel moved us to a "better room", but it was actually worse than the first one. Overall, the impression online was of a luxurious experience, but the reality was of a very tatty, poor quality guest house. We abandoned our week long holiday and moved to another hotel, The Imperial, which is actually 5 star and the contrast was extreme!

Let me start by saying the website enhances the hotel and grounds and therefore you are decidedly disappointed when you arrive. To start it's a long ride from the airport especially if you are in a bus! When you arrive at the hotel and all you want is to get to your room and they make you wait in reception to have a drink which again isn't ideal you're tired and just want to get out and enjoy the facilities. Turns out also you cannot just book restaurants you have to download the app asap to get bookings! So we didn't get in so we're stuck with a la carte apart from one evening. The beach is ok but you have to pay to hire the boats again this isn't clear on the website. Kids club is ok. The cooking classes however are misleading they do the basics but website leads you to believe it's full on cookery classes when it's not. It's not a 5 star hotel by any means.

We've just returned from Costa Botanica and loved the experience. We're a family of four with a 13 and 1 year old so it was great having such a variety of things to do nearby. I'm also pregnant so wasn't looking to do lots of walking around. Having stayed at other 5-star resorts we were expecting to fight for sun beds but instead were amazed that we could turn up at the beach anytime and have our pick of somewhere to sit. We went in half term and were told the hotel was at full capacity, but the aqua park was the only place we struggled to find somewhere to sit (instead we sat in the cafe which is still near to the pools), and at the other pools the staff were happy to help if there weren't enough beds together. One of the best things about the hotel is that you can pretty much always get food. We arrived late on the Monday after the dinner service had stopped and before the late night snacks began but the staff sorted us dinner so we could head to bed. Our 13-year old wasn't keen on getting up for breakfast but would head to the beach bar for a crepe. We ate at the grill for lunch every day too as the food there was great and it meant we could stay by the pool. There is also wifi around almost all of the grounds, even on the beach. Something you shouldn't worry about on holiday but can be a major problem for the kids! The same to be said about the food at the aqua park. It's great that they serve crepes, cakes and ice cream all day along with drinks and then for lunch they have pizza, nuggets, salads, chips etc so it's always easy to grab something for the kids. We had table service from the bar staff at the palm pool throughout the day and if you sat in the lobby or piazza. If you went to the beach bar you did have to queue sometimes but never for too long. We found breakfast to always be busy but we rarely managed to get there before 9.30am. There was a good selection of options, including freshly made omlettes, pancakes, french toast, eggs etc as well as fruit, cereals, yogurts, pastries, cheese and salads. Dinner was also good at the buffet. I'm vegetarian and always found something I liked to eat as there's a huge array of salads. The different themed nights were great, our daughter particularly liked Chinese night and Greek night. Drinks were a bit harder to get at the restaurant. We don't really drink so it wasn't a huge problem but found it was easier ordering in the lobby before coming in for dinner. There are soft drinks, fruit juice, beer and coffee that you can get for yourself but at breakfast there can be a queue for coffee. The fact there are these self-serve machines around the resort does really speed drinks and food up though. Plus they are all branded soft drinks and spirits etc used at the hotel. All the cocktails were made fresh, so no ordering something that comes out of a machine as we've had in the past! I was surprised that the rooms were really like they are shown on the website. We visited as a three-generation family – a total of 11 of us stayed over May half term in 2 interconnecting Family loft rooms and I Botanica Bungalow loft room, all located close to each other. Simply put, none of us wanted to come home! We had an amazing time/experience from the moment we walked into reception and were greeted by three members of the team. The check in was seamless and we were soon in our rooms which were clean, well furnished and well located. The lay out of the hotel/resort is superb with the piazza being the perfect and spacious hub for most of the restaurants and entertainment – whilst the hotel was quite full the week we went, there was always space to chill and relax. The hotel grounds are extensive and full of well-maintained paths which gave a spacious and calming effect with the pools and beach linking up well whilst all being separate. Both the pools, the aquapark and beach were well staffed with lifeguards visible and always with plenty of sunbeds for everyone – and importantly with plenty of space so no one was ‘on top of each other’. The younger generation in our group consisted of 5 children aged between 2 and 15 with there being something for all of them meaning they were always having fun – which made it so easy and relaxing for the rest of us! The aqua park is first rate with the slides and lazy river occupying them for hours. The pools provided another option and a change of scenery. The beach is extensive with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas – it is partially shingle but easy enough to get into the beautiful blue waters of the sea which was pleasantly warm. We hired a pedalo and paddleboard on the beach which was great fun for both adults and children. The food and service were excellent throughout our stay. Firstly, must mention the staff (too many names to mention individually) who were so friendly, professional and helpful – it is sometimes easy to take staff for granted and be critical if something is slow/not quite right – the staff were all charming and focused on making our stay as enjoyable as possible. The main buffet restaurant was excellent with lovely seating areas, well presented quality food with good range of food options. The a la carte restaurants were superb - we managed to get in (with the help of Matina) the Asia and Italian restaurants which were amazing. There are also nice/convenient snack options at the beach, aquapark and pool bar. I could go on with more examples of how good this hotel is but will simply say this was the best all inclusive hotel experience I have had – we all had an amazing time and could not fault anything. A big thank you to all of the staff for making our stay memorable.

A much needed family holiday for us! There was literally nothing that wasn’t perfect (apart from the mozzies). Food was great and plentiful…. And even my fussy kids loved it. We didn’t get a table in any of the a la carte restaurants (too late booking them - make sure you get the app BEFORE you leave and don’t expect to get booked when you’re there) but actually, the closer we got to the end of our week, the more we hoped NOT to get a table, because we were all so happy in the main restaurant. Plenty variety too - there was a seafood night, sushi - as well as a brilliant Greek/Mediterranean spread… and the puddings!!! Wow! The grill at the beach end of the resort was our favourite for lunch - and because there wasn’t any dessert, it be allowed us to have a crepe/ice cream in the afternoon! We were there in the 2nd week of the season so not overly busy. Didn’t ever need to queue for a table, and pools weren’t too busy. Kids (4 and 9) both loved the kids pool and the lazy river. Wee shop on the resort was super and we managed to get inflatables, sun tan lotion, souvenirs, etc there. Our accommodation was basic but all we needed. Fab bathroom, with Jack and Jill sinks. Kids in separate room adjoining ours which allowed us an evening after they’d gone to bed. Didn’t use kids club but seemed very welcoming and evening mini disco and other entertainment was great. We were in a room very close to the main square and, yes, it was noisy but we’d all had so much fun during the day, we didn’t struggle to sleep. Bed was memory foam (which i’m not a fan of) but we requested extra pillows which were delivered and helped enormously. Staff could not have been more helpful… not a single one less than fully engaged in looking after guests. We didn’t leave the resort once all week…. And I’ve always sniffed at people who do this (!)… but genuinely felt we were experiencing Greece/Corfu where we were and so delighted not to have to! Only complaint is that I seem to have put on serious weight with all those puddings!
