Elounda Heights (Adults Only)

Thank you to all the wonderful staff at the Elounda Heights Hotel for giving us the best holiday experience we have ever had, and a thoroughly memorable 70th birthday for my husband Frank. The hotel is immaculately clean and the gardens and pool are exquisite, every area has been so well thought out, from the manicured gardens to the pool area with breathtaking panoramic views of the sea and mountains. Our apartment was superb with a large bathroom, lounge area with the most fantastic panoramic view of Elounda and a spacious bedroom with a very comfy bed and pillows. The breakfast is a wonderful start to your day, seated in a beautiful area by the pool overlooking the stunning view. There is a selection of pastries,bread and cakes, tea, coffee, fresh orange juice followed by a large menu selection of breakfasts to suit every preference, scrambled eggs, full English, continental, fresh fruit platter etc, etc. They have a restaurant onsite, again with stunning views across the bay and we enjoyed some lovely home cooked food by Vengalis whilst staying at the hotel. After dinner you can just sit and chill the breeze or partake in a few fab cocktails made by the lovely Katrina in the bar. Natalia, Kostas and Ritsa are all amazing and are always on-hand to help in any way they can. The whole team at the hotel are genuinely so helpful, friendly, and attentive and this along with the beautiful hotel and tranquil surroundings made our holiday a very very special experience. If only every hotel was like this one. We will definitely return.

Recently returned from our latest stay at the wonderful Elounda Heights. We wanted a nice relaxing break this time and we certainly had one. The place is amazing and welcoming to new and returning guests. The staff were fantastic as always. Nothing is too much trouble and it was nice to catch up with them again. Booked for next year whilst we were there. Highlight of the week was the Cretan Wine Night, entertainingly hosted by Kostas. The food and wines were delicious. A new water machine was installed by the pool bar during our stay, providing complimentary cold filtered water for the guests.

A gorgeous boutique hotel that allows you to flush tp & drinkable water, unusual in Greece! We stayed in Ikarus, a very large room with a kitchenette & large deck. The staff were awesome, Katerina, Dimitra, Natalia & Vangelis were all great! The restaurant was fantastic! Vangelis even made my request med soup. The bar was a lot of fun after dinner, the lemon Rekit is delicious! . Wish we could have stayed longer. It’s a short walk down the hill to Elounda.

We have just left the beautiful Elounda Heights Apartments. What an amazing family run complex. Surely the views cannot be beaten. The attention to detail is fantastic. The breakfasts include homemade jams, with several other homemade treats. The omelette and Cretan breakfast I would highly recommend. The staff are all so friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. We also really the evening special menus (a la carte also available). The wine tasting evening is also not to be missed. We will return! Jenkinson Family

Such a peaceful and beautiful oasis overlooking Elounda. Our room was comfortable and clean. Housekeeping was fast and efficient. Ritsa at the front desk was so kind and helpful and available for any question or request. Breakfast and pool bar staff was friendly and the food was really good. You could really tell they take pride in serving their guests and we met many repeat customers who wouldn't stay anywhere else - we are now among and wouldn't hesitate to return whenever we come back to beautiful Crete. Very pleased with our stay and would highly recommend.

A truly fabulous experience, from the welcoming staff, immaculate rooms and comfortable beds. This hotel ticked all the boxes on my wish list; a large sunny terrace with comfortable sun loungers, a spacious studio with small kitchen area, fridge, kettle & coffee machine. Lovely pool bar with a super selection of well priced menu. Evening restaurant was lovely with a difference 'special' on the menu each evening. Set up on a hill with lovely views down to Elounda bay, a 5 minute walk down a steep hill, but only 5 euros in a taxi to get back. Kostas & Natalia, the owners, are delightful and went above and beyond to make my stay so welcoming and relaxing. All the staff were wonderful!

I’m writing this while still at Elounda Heights. So glad we booked for 2 weeks and still have several days left as this is somewhere you won’t want to leave. From the moment you arrive you’re taken care of and throughout your stay there’s always someone on hand for anything you might need. As mentioned in other reviews the breakfast here is something special and nothing like we’ve ever had in any hotel anywhere in the world! Pool bar food is excellent and the restaurant is superb. I think the key is that nothing is on a buffet and is always made fresh to order. Our apartment is very spacious and kept spotlessly clean. The gardens are beautifully kept and the pool area is mostly quiet with enough loungers. The highlight however has to be the views which are stunning and worth the short walk up heart attack hill !

This is definitely my favourite hotel in the whole of Crete! Run by the wonderfully friendly and professional couple, Kostas and Natalia, it's a family-run, gorgeously situated small hotel offering exemplary service and accommodation. Breakfast by the pool with amazing views are just the start - Relax through the day with the pool bar service looking over the Spinolonga island and Mirabello Bay, then enjoy the fantastic cooking in their outside restaurant. All the staff are friendly and organised, the gardens are immaculately tended, and tidy. Go there and experience bliss!

Now we were already the third time in the hotel Elounda Heights and we were again enthusiastic. On the one hand, there is the unique view of the bay of Mirabello, the approx. 20 excellently equipped vacation apartments, one of which we had very close to the pool, the large inviting pool, and on the other hand the star cuisine that senior chef Vangelis offers. And in general the whole lovely family that runs the hotel and their equally sympathetic and efficient team -- all of them alone are a reason to come back. Those who want to enjoy the star cuisine can either do so a la carte or sign up by 4:00 p.m. for the Daily Special, the ingredients of which are then purchased fresh. And then there's the well-stocked pool bar, which also serves tasty snacks until 7 p.m. and many tasty drinks, e.g. several Cretan brands of Craft Beer, which are served in chilled glasses, and an excellent house wine. For dinner there is something special several times a week. Once there was a (fortunately discreetly quiet) piano accompaniment, on another evening again the wine tasting with multi-course menu -- all perfectly coordinated. In the end, it's no wonder that we want to come back. The Elounda Heights is one of our two favorite Cretan hotels. But: book in time, there are many regulars who come back again and again.
