La Quinta Inn by Wyndham El Paso Cielo Vista

Short version: extremely rude girl at the front desk and dirty rooms. Longer version: arrived late at the hotel after a day of travel and first the keys to the room (on ground floor) didn’t work. The girl at the front desk showed zero customer service, wasn’t apologetic or nice and gave us keys to another room, this time on the second floor. Since my husband was on crutches, I asked nicely if there were any rooms at all on the ground floor and she said no. My husband made it up the stairs very slowly only for us to find the room completely dirty, it wasn’t cleaned at all and even the comforter was on the floor. So my husband had to crutch down the stairs and we went back to the front desk where the girl was annoyed to see us again and had to deal with us, like this was all our problem somehow. We then got a room on the first floor! When I brought up the fact I asked about first floor rooms, the girl rolled her eyes looking at the laptop and mumbled “oh.my.god!” under her chin! Seriously, like we were somehow being unreasonable. We’ve stayed at highway hotels/motels before but have never had such horrible customer service or cleanliness issues. The room we ultimately got had decent sheets/pillow cases but bed skits were gross with particles on it, wall had splatter marks, floor was dirty with grimey parts and the tub was awful as well. Thankfully we only had one night here. We took pictures. Avoid this place at all cost.

For the price it was better than we expected. When we pulled up we were nervous. It didn’t look very safe or nice from the outside. But the room we had was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was good.

My experience at this hotel was horrible, the establishment was old and dirty, the staff not friendly at all, and the worst no warm water, tv didn’t work and the phone for the room also didn’t work. I do not recommend this hotel at all, don’t waste your time and money.

Hotel seems old, so we were aware about not the facilities. But the floor was all dusty and the shower temp was not hot, so we had to bath with barely warm water. Also, late checkout was only 30min after regular checkout (11am) which was not ideal for us, usually other hotels give you1-2 extra hours for late checkout. Breakfast was good though.

Front nice room to the breakfast it was great. My front was having locking issues of not securing. A very small issued I repaired with electrical tape. I was going to advise the front desk, but forgot.

“Recently renovated” room has new floors and furniture, but that’s it. The floor was poorly installed and the bed was squeaky. The door barely worked; the bathtub faucet was falling off the wall; paint was flaking everywhere. Staff was friendly and breakfast was generous though.

Stayed here several times. Close to everything I need to do. Helpful staff. Comfortable beds

One of the worst rooms I've encountered. Right as you walk in it smells musty but it’s probable from the water damage in the restroom. I tried to take a shower and the shower head was broken. It spewed water EVERYWHERE! Wet the towels, floor, walls and of course wet my clothes. Once in the shower, I noticed the sheetrock above the shower head was falling from the water splashing it. Completely molded and unsafe.
