My wife and I stayed at this hotel / lodge with some friends as we had a club event in the local area the following day. There was plenty of parking available outside the hotel in a pleasant wooded area. The staff on reception were friendly and helpful and we were soon directed to our rooms. The room we had was spacious with a large bathroom, comfy double bed, TV (although some of the channels didn't seem to work), small kitchenette area with kettle and coffee / tea selection. There was free Wi-Fi which worked fine. Reception wasn't open 24-hours, it was closed at night and reopened at the same time as the breakfast buffet. The dining was limited when we arrived there as we were told there was only one chef on duty so we all ate elsewhere, however we enjoyed a decent breakfast in the hotel the following morning with a good selection of bread, pastries, ham, cheese, jams, croissants, juice machine, coffee machine and some hot food options (although as we had to eat early some of the hot dishes weren't quite available when the breakfast buffet opened for us at 8am). The hotel has an interesting history, as it used to be a factory and the hotel name literally means Chestnut Factory, named after the trees that used to stand in front of the building back then. The factory had closed in 2001 and was sold in 2006 but the plans to convert to care homes never happened. After standing empty for 14 years it was reopened as a B&B Hotel and our experience was really good.

It was our second time staying at De Kastanjefabriek. Last time was with COVID in full swing, now we could really enjoy the tasty breakfast. Dinner locations are plenty in Eibergen, same with walking and bicycling trails. Excellent and quiet location. One small note for others: unless you hang the sign for "cleaning please" on your door, your room won't be touched by the staff. This wasn't mentioned to us when we checked in. On the second day we ended up asking for fresh towels at 6PM at the reception...

Het hotel is warm en modern ingericht en staat op een prachtig lokatie. Voor natuurliefhebbers is dit een geweldige plek om te verblijven. De kamers zijn schoon en voorzien van al het gemak. En niet te vergeten het vriendelijke personeel 🤗

Mooi hotel, mooie kamers, mooie menukaart en lekker gegeten, maar het kan wat netter/schoner en persoonlijker. Een variatie aan verschillende kamers / indelingen. Ligging aan de weg is geen bezwaar. Mooie omgeving om te wandelen en te fietsen.

Grande chambre 2 + 2 avec le canapé lit. Belle grande salle de bain. Hôtel silencieux. Grand parking dans un grand parc. En dehors du centre mais à 10 min à pieds de celui-ci. Pas pris le petit-déjeuner car je trouvais que c'était assez cher (je ne sais pas si le prix est correct par rapport au petit-déjeuner) Réception agréable. Prix correct pour la chambre.

Wat een mooi kleinschalig hotel en modern ingericht. Onze kamer was fantastisch! Heerlijk kunnen relaxen in onze tweepersoons bubbelbad! In het restaurant hebben we ook heerlijk gegeten! Ontbijt was prima en er was echt keus genoeg. Wel 1 minpuntje: Toen wij na een reis van ruim 2 uur dachten te konden gaan lunchen in het hotel werd er nee gezegd omdat er verbeteringen aan het restaurant bezig waren. Dit was niet naar ons gecommuniceerd anders hadden wij onderweg wel ergens wat gegeten. Toen wij vroegen of we dan dus misschien al naar de kamer konden (we waren er een uur voor je mocht inchecken) gaf de receptiemedewerkster aan dat het normaal extra geld kost om eerder in te checken en dit was uiteindelijk ook niet mogelijk omdat onze kamer niet schoon was. Daarna mochten we toch wel lunchen, maar dan zaten we in de werkzaamheden. Dit was voor ons toch een smetje op onze eerste dag. Verder ook geen excuses in de vorm van bijv. een drankje van het huis ofzo. Voor de rest hebben wij het hier echt onwijs naar onze zin gehad en zou zeker een hotel zijn om nog een keer naartoe te gaan!
