Inyati Game Lodge

Accommodations were clean and safe. All staff were super friendly, especially Levy the Bartender. The lodge is situated on the banks of Sand River and provide daily excitement watching game when just relaxing at the lounge or on the deck. Never be surprised to see an elephant stroll across the lawn or 100 impalas race across it when escaping a prowling predator. Of course the real excitement is on the game drives. We had the fortune of having Diff as our Ranger and Lucas as the tracker. Cannot believe their eye sight to pick small details on the ground or among leaves when shining light at night. No drive was uneventful, even when cut short by rain OR the day we chose to include a bush walk OR leaving early to the airport. Even when we see elephants every day, they are in a completely different settings each time. One day we watch a lone elephant enjoying grazing, another a group of 25 that were on a trek and we followed them to see cross the river, another time we saw two youngster play with each other at close quarters. So, its not always how much game you saw, but in what situations. On the last night drive, Diff stopped the vehicle in the middle of the river and turned off the engine and lights. For few minutes we were under a canopy of stars with a roaring river flowing under. You can't recreate this in any way. Another night we were under the canopy of stars, this time anticipating a hunt by three lion pride. Even though nothing happened for 15 minutes, we thoroughly enjoyed the excitement. Definitely, its not the quantity but quality of the game drives. Food was excellent, especially some of us preferred vegetarian. Quantity and quality were excellent. Local drinks are free any time at the bar.

Inyati and Sabi Sand was a once in a lifetime experience for my wife and I, our 19 year old son and his best mate. We stayed 3 incredible nights. Our ranger Gabriel and Tracker Cliff were an amazing team and superb guides! Gabriel is super passionate, funny, incredibly knowledgeable and great company for us and our boys. The bants between Cliff & Gabriel was super entertaining 😂😂 We saw everything!! A highlight that really stood out was when our Land Cruiser got “stuck” in the middle of a family of lions on our very first evening safari. One huge male lion strode right past our jeep to join his cubs and their mum. Then the family started roaring toward the male lion’s brother on the other side of our vehicle! On our last afternoon safari we pulled up next to 3 giraffes, got out of the jeep and in single file walked slowly into the middle of the 3 giraffes. Unbelievable! Our chalets were beautiful. The staff at Inyati are all super attentive and friendly. Everything is included - wine, cocktails, delicious food to order or at any of the 4 daily meals! We’ve been sharing the most amazing photos and videos with our friends. We highly recommend Inyati! 5 star safari experience at a fairer price than most other lodges in Sabi Sand.

We absolutely loved this lodge located on the Sand River. Animals freely roamed the grounds which provided for a more authentic lodge experience. Our accommodation consisted of a large bedroom area and bathroom. Rustic style but with good amenities, and the Wi-Fi worked pretty well. There's a small but nicely located pool and a modern gym on the grounds too. The food here - included in the rates - was way above expectations. And the staff went out of their way to engage and ensure that you had a memorable time. But the top accolade goes to the twice daily safari drives. Our guide Roger and tracker Qolani were simply brilliant in tracking down the Big 5 and more (we saw the Big 5 on consecutive days plus hippos, giraffe, and wild dogs). It was just the most memorable of experiences.

We spent 2 nights here in February and can't say enough good words for our experience. The drives were unbelievable with our guide Gabe and tracker Cliff. They are super knowledgeable, friendly...just great folks. Saw everything we wanted to see and more with lots of close encounters of the wild kind. Property is wonderful with fantastic views of the Sand river and beyond. Rooms were top notch and the staff were all wonderful, attentive and always had a smile. Food was amazing for all the daily meals. Only gripe we had is that we should have stayed longer...would love to visit again sometime in the future.

From the moment we arrived, everything from the service, food, wine, and guides were amazing!!! There are significantly more expensive options out there in Sabi Sands, however Inyati did not disappoint. The food and wine were good, we saw the big 5 multiple times, usually 3/5 or 4/5 on ever game drive. For our first time safari, this was a great experience m.

First South African safari group trip of four arranged by a friend who's been in country 20+ time and executed by Travel House Africa. I was blown away with the whole safari thing in general and Inyati just added to it. My friend who has stayed at many lodges in the Sabi Sands reserve thought everything at Inyati was stellar. Within 3 game drives we completed seeing the Big 5. Thank you Gabriel and Cliff. Excellent safari trips and wildlife experience. We were very happy with the lodge and all the services proivided, loved it there.

A wonderful few days safari. Inyati is a lovely, comfortable and friendly lodge. Diff was an excellent, knowledgeable, and entertaining guide. Each drive was a fantastic new experience with so much to see, the big 5 plus so much more. We will be back!
