Care taken with the interior design of each themed room. Spacious room, central location but nice and quiet at night. Helpful local Scottish staff.

Wonderful location. Very nice hotel, and brilliant cocktail bar. Room also very nice, if a bit aged e.g light buttons all gone so needed to use nails to poke toilet light on/off.
Stay was perfect, right up until 11pm when we discovered we were directly over a night club queue/smoking area which was lively and kept me awake up until 3.30am. Ruined our anniversary after starting so well. Don't understand how this feedback hasn't been given before so a simple fix with better windows could fix it. Receptionist said this was sometimes a problem and brushed it off which peeved me.

The attitude of the receptionist is enough to. It want to stay at this hotel again. She is not customer friendly and doesn’t give the guest the best impressions of the hotel both at check in and check out

First time at this hotel and loved it. It is in a perfect location, central to everything for walking. The rooms are darling, each designed on a location in Europe. The bed was comfortable, staff was lovely. Will definitely be our hotel for when we stop again in Edinburgh.

One minor blip was waiting over an hour for some room service but was rectified by not charging so all ok.
Will defo be back.

Arrived early and got to check in early as the room was empty. We stayed in the Cairo room and it was excellent, one of the best rooms I have stayed in and furnishings/bathroom looked brand new. Will definitely be back and request the same room again.

The staff was very helpful and our room was very comfortable with a very clean and spacious bathroom. You could not fault the location which was excellent.
