Flaming Gorge Resort

Booked a place 10 mins down the road and couldn’t stay there due to not having a heater in 7° weather! This resort was a LIFESAVER for our girls trip! Jennifer at the front desk was so accommodating and an angel in our eyes! She had us in warm room as fast as possible. Room was modern with a fire place! It was so cozy and decorated nicely with trout pics! The cleanest room I have ever stayed at in my life. They truly care about their guests experience and it shows. Shop had all fishing needs in case you needed last minute gloves or a jacket. Restaurant was affordable, delicious and great service! We will be back! 5 Stars! Great location for fishing the Green! 💚

It may be an additional 45 minutes from Manila and a pretty good climb in you rig but the service and beauty of this tucked away jet is worth it. We keep coming back every year and Woody and crew keep inspiring us to come back.

We stayed in a suite, it was modern and the beds comfortable. we did a fishing trip with a guide ( Ivan ) and i cant recommend him enough. he was patient with my grand daughter and got her into fish! he was also a very nice gentleman that was easy to talk to. i wish he was closer to where i lived so i could hire him again! :) the food at the restaurant was actually not bad for being about the only place to eat out there. if you plan on going to eat there. reservations are a must though. again because there is no where else and it gets very busy. all of the staff were very friendly. we enjoyed the experience

Great location and the only game in town as far as restaurants are concerned. The restaurant staff was very friendly and the food was good. Unfortunately, the front desk staff were less than helpful after they messed up our guide reservation. They never sent a confirmation for the fishing guide and tried to tell me I had to pay for a day of fishing since I cancelled too late. I had to work it out with the head guide and explains that there was no communication from the staff about our guide reservation. The room was gross with stained carpet and a musty rodent smell. There was an air purifier on the kitchen table for us to use! We keep the windows open and wore shoes in the room. After 4 nights we were happy to check out.

We enjoyed our stay in this area. The resort offered nice cabins. The cabin came fully equipped with a full kitchen. We would recommend booking reservations early in the day for dinner and then on the evening before for breakfast as they are quite crowded. The food in the restaurant was very good. The servers excellent as well. We were extremely happy with this place as our choice for the night.

So, I really wanted the Pine Forest Campground, but the lady told me they booked up A YEAR in advance! I was calling in November for a site in June. She suggested the Dutch John Resort, but they had bad reviews. I asked about Mountain Meadows & she told me it was a seasonal campground, but she had an opening for the dates I needed. I jumped on it. This campground is in the trailer park area of Flaming Gorge. They house their employees there. It looks like they're trying to get some nicer homes also. There are 15 sites - all close together. There's ONE shower/bathroom combo. The bathroom was cleaned once a day, but some of the river guides must use it after work. This campground is central to Flaming Gorge attractions. My husband was particularly interested in Little Hole to fish. We did the Dam, Red Canyon & the East side of the Gorge drive. Swett Ranch is very close. The restaurant at Flaming Gorge Resort was good also & we ate there twice. I had no issues with camping on the seasonal side. Everyone was nice. It was quiet at night. Our site backed up to a meadow . There was trail access also. Our site wasn't shady, so we used the camper next to us for shade. I wish there would have been more than one bathroom/shower, but it is what it is.
