Amara Hotel & Spa

Everything is very taste. The food is so delicious and the service is exellent. Our children likr do much the soups that eat. The view is so relaxed and a good weather. Our children plays with toys and laugh so much. Thank you, we are having a wonderful time with our children.

Booked via ***********, was told different price on the app and payed about £10 more after getting there. Broken curtains in room we got told they will fix it the next day. So slept a night without curtains and exposed to the outside. Asked for an extra pillow, got told they don't have any. Other wise next time I would probably book a hotel further down the *****. This is the first hotel after the port. Beach isn't the cleanest. The hotel it self is clean, with fresh deco, lacking is the customer service. You can get a bus from a street away into the centre. From the airport we got a shuttle bus cost 600LEK each, which dropped us to the bus station. From there we got a taxi for 500lek which took us just up the road to the hotel. Instead you can get the bus, going towards the port, mentioning the hotel name to the driver for 40 lek each.-Bargain!

Bit weird to drive on a bike path to get to the parking area though plenty of parking and free. Check in was sime enough and staff were friendly enough. Pool was not open due to an issue which was a shame. Room was comfortable enough though air con was locked at 24C. Breakfast was excellent, good coffee though had to be ordered which took time at times. Very well stocked bar though staff seemed to struggle with English at times. Beach is a bit sea****y but is near Port. Private beach though with comfy sun beds. Bar area in tiki bar on beach and opened out part of hotel overlooking sea. Got breezy at times but comfy otherwise. Very good value. At right end for durres city but wrong end for the rest of the resort area though small walk to the resort bits.

This was a really enjoyable and quality time in Amara. Amara is on the top hotel list for us so far. It's 4* star hotel but we'd give it 5* based on the recent experience. Me and my wife booked a trip to Albania and stay in Amara Hotel and SPA through Golden Travel (our 1st and only choice tour company in Kharkiv). Upon arrival we got help with the luggage at the door of the hotel. We were registered in about 5 minutes. We had a seaview standard room on the 4th floor (top floor). The view was terrific. You wake up and find a sea outside the window, and it's so close. There is Durres port on one side, and sealine hotels with beaches on the other side. Hotel. It's new, fresh, and very clean. It has its own beach, pool with a sea view, and restaurant. Good wifi signal for regular networking and even for remote work. Room. We adored it from the first glance. Everything was brand new including plumbing, shower area, furniture. Bed was sturdy and comfortable. Besides, it was cleaned perfectly. Honestly, first time we had such a new and clean room. Cleaning service. Everyday, with no exceptions, including towel change every two days and linens every 3 days. Pool service. You can get drinks and a pizza at a pool. Towels are free of charge. Breakfast was included. Buffet - eggs, sausages, bacon, vegetables, cheese, cakes, pancakes, cold drinks, hot beverages, etc. Restaurant. It was a true pleasure sitting in it for lunch and dinner. They have Italian, Albanian, and Mediterranean dishes. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They accept Leke, euro, dollars in cash and you can pay with a card. Relaxing live music every evening for a few hours. Big Thank you to everyone from the restaurant for the great service, especially to Francesk who has been doing a great job. Beach. Organized, clean sunbeds, beach service. Reception. This is the last but appeared to be one of the most important parts of our comfort during the stay. Reception staff was exceptional. We had some issues with the car rental company which they helped to resolve in the best possible way. Also, they were very helpful and responsive with return transfer and late check out. We've never dealt with reception that much previously, but I understand now how a proper service should be provided. We'd like to express our gratitude to Abi, Fiona, Kristina, and Samanta from reception. You are the ninjas of service :) Thank you to each and everyone from the staff at the hotel! Amara is highly recommended and will be our 1st choice next time in Durres. Faleminderit Shumë!

Generally, everything was great. Friendly staff, delicious food, clean and comfortable rooms. Our rooms were with sea view which added more value to the whole experience. Moreover, the sandy beach is very organized and clean, the staff prepare it every day, as well as the swimming poll. The location is suitable if you want to be close to the city center, but also if you want to go along with the several km long beach. The most interesting to us was free morning coffee in the room brought by room service.

Zeer goed uitgerust hotel, helaas de exploitatie was heel amateuristisch,tot het onbeschofte af. Kamers zeer klein, en niet zo heel proper. Zeer lawaaierig aan de straatkant. Zeer mooie Spa, helaas staat hij nooit op en het personeel heeft geen flauw benul hoe het werkt. Ontbijt zeer sober. Brood van een paar dagen geleden. Alles dat warm moest zijn was koud. Een bain marie heeft nu eenmaal een warmtebron nodig … 2 koffiemachines voor heel het hotel, waarvan er steeds 1 niet werkt. Alles in kartonnen bekers.. Enfin ik kan nog wel even doorgaan. Ze vragen ook een meerkost als je met een betaalkaart wil betalen !

Sulla carta è un bellissimo hotel ma a volte le apparenze ingannano. La posizione è un po' infelice perché è l'ultimo del lungo mare prima del porto, per cui la qualità dell'acqua non è sicuramente delle migliori. Avevamo chiesto specificatamente camere silenziose e probabilmente sono solo quelle vista mare che, probabilmente, in questa stagione sono prenotate con largo anticipo. In ogni caso eravamo affacciati su una strada di grande percorrenza con finestre che non isolano assolutamente dai rumori esterni causando disagio fino a notte inoltrata. La camera doppia è piuttosto piccola e spartana però il letto è comodo. Il primo giorno c'erano anche due bottigliette d'acqua di cortesia che non sono state più ripristinate. La doccia è bella e spaziosa. Le pulizie molto approssimative. La colazione ha una buona scelta e la qualità del cibo è più che discreta. L'hotel è piuttosto nuovo ma quello che lascia a desiderare è la scarsa manutenzione e ascolto del cliente: ho segnalato immediatamente che la cassaforte era chiusa e inservibile ( tra l'altro non fissata nell'armadio...) e che l'asciugacapelli era rotto ma, in tre giorni di soggiorno, non è stato fatto assolutamente niente nonostante ulteriori solleciti. È un peccato lasciare andare una struttura così bella e nuova. Buono il servizio spiaggia incluso nel prezzo. C'è anche una piscina di buone dimensioni.

Hotel di lusso, personale cortese, colazione ottima, buona la posizione nella città, spiaggia privata molto curata. consiglio a tutte le persone che apprezzano la buona qualità della struttura a un prezzo davvero basso. Nicoletta Milano

Accoglienza niente di che , posso dire che le stanze sono nella norma ma no da 4 stelle , quanto entrati nella camera troviamo aperta la finestra e all interno una marea di zanzare più ci mancavano i asciugamani , vado alla reception per chiedere asciugamani e se potevano risolvere problema zanzare per le zanzare mi hanno dato un profumatore d’ambiente e gli asciugamani non sono mai arrivati e dopo un paio di ore sono sceso di nuovo a lamentarmi e la ragazza della reception mi ha dato due asciugamani da bidet e basta in più sono dovuto andare in un negozio a comprare qualcosa per le zanzare la mattina dopo c’è ne siamo andati perché pagare una camera a prezzi da albergo 4 stelle e avere un servizio pessimo nn è giusto , in più ho dimenticato il carica batteria iPhone in camera sono ritornato e mi hanno detto che nn hanno trovato niente , posso dire che com’è il nome e anche il servizio ( AMARO ) .!! non ritorneremo .!!
