Best Western Plus Duluth/ Sugarloaf

I always enjoy my stay at The Best Western Plus Duluth/Sugarloaf. It's always so clean, comfy and quiet there. Some of the best sleep I've had.

Great friendly staff. The room was clean and up-to-date. There are a wide of variety of restaurants to choose from that are either walking distance or driving distance. Worth the price

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. However there was ants in every room (which we reported but fell on deaf ears), and I awakened to renovation noise all four days I was there. I was told my room would be clean daily but it only happened the one day before we checked out. Breakfast was below average. Staff appeared friendly but not very attentive to our requests and concerns.

Property was aesthetically pleasing. Staff was friendly and personable. Room (on the 3rd floor) was clean and quiet.

We had a business event to attend, we book this location where it was convenient for us. The check in process was easy and quick. We were there at 2am and the front desk representative was very pleasant. Upon entering the room, the light was dim and the room was overall darker than usual. After inspecting the room, everything is okay but there are some hair trapped at the AC/Heat unit and somewhat dusty. The bathroom is clean with minimal supplies but we bought our own. The sink/tub have an unusual smell and the water does not go down easy. The bedding was comfortable and overall very clean. The breakfast was included and it is meat (turkey sausage) and eggs. The breakfast is clean and someone is there to restock the supplies. We were there for 2 days and everything is okay, minor construction during the day after 9am above but it was okay. Pet friendly facility but green area is less than expected. Would stay again if near the area

Overall, the hotel was okay the gentlemen who checked us in was very nice. However, we wanted our room cleaned and fresh towels, so we put the door hanger that requested that. When we returned from our all-day conference the room wasn't cleaned. Call the front desk, and the response was oh well im sorry we couldn't get to it but you can come get towels from the front desks."

There was black mold in the shower floor grout. The room was under construction. Unfinished paint, holes in wall from removed wall decor.

We had a wonderful time. Check in was super easy. The room was very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The room had a small fridge and a Keurig machine. Overall everything was great!

Property has been completely refurbished and everything was very clean. Only negatives are that it is very close to interstate 85 and so there is a constant noise from the nearby traffic.
