Las Palmas Beach Hotel

The property location is excellent. What I found challenging was the room. The internet was not working sometimes and the water went down and so we did not have water a few times and there was no hot water in the shower sometimes and the room had no refrigerator or microwave and there was no phone to call the front desk in the room.

This property was horrible. The facility was under construction, the rental unit was dirty, had no hot water, the unit was in need of touch ups of paint, the closet doors were jammed. No mini fridge and the Resturant and bar closed at 4pm during the week. The only saving grace was the resort property next door Wikkid dive resort. Their staff and owners were more than welcoming and their facilities stayed open late. Las Palmas is not close to any other amenities for food or leisure. So u must rent a car. Never stay their again. Poor management.

Interesting place. Room was large and clean enough, but poorly appointed. No desk, no glasses, only ceiling lights and just one switch, only one elec. outlet. Facility is large with two nice swimming pools but restaurant open only for couple of hours for breakfast. I was told the place was full but I only saw 3 or 4 others over my three days there and was alone each day at breakfast. After initial check-in I never saw anyone in reception and left key with a worker when I departed. All room drapes were 12-14 inches too long and ends were tied in a loose knot to keep them off the floor. A curious place (and business model). I can't recommend it!

very great customer service. Rooms are okay if you want to save some cash, air doesnt even cool room.

Stayed here 2 nights between a trip to Utila and our flight. The shower was full of black mold and toilet didn't have a seat!!! 1 pool had the sides and tiles falling apart and staff was draining water from a roof into the pool. Towel racks and drape rodes were hanging broken from the walls, which had black and red smears all over them. The internet didn't work at all. Hours after reporting the missing toilet seat and internet issues, I went back to the check in office to find the agent messing with his phone, WITH THE TOILET SEAT IN A BOX NEXT TO HIM! He was worthless, doing nothing, saying the new seat had just arrived. Then get off your phone and get busy fixing it so I can use our bathroom!! A begger lady interrupted me for 10 minutes while I was using the office internet (since ours STILL wasn't working), showing me pics of 'her daughter's surgery scars' and saying she'd have to hitchhike home. Again, this was INSIDE the check-in office! Breakfast was abysmal. We sat so long we had to ask the 6 employees who were hanging out at a table laughing and listening to loud videos on their phones how we were supposed to order. 45 minutes for food to arrive and still no coffee; we had to ask again how to get coffee, and didn't get it until after we were done partially eating the eggs, sausage (i.e. hot dogs) and dry-as-cardboard plaintains. The beach had numerous cruise ship passengers, but worse were the employees' screaming children who were throwing trash into the ocean and splashing guests. Definitely NOT a 'private' beach as they describe. Despite them saying their restaurant was open til 10pm, it was closed at 7 when we tried to go for dinner, causing us to have to go into town to eat. A long wait for an expensive taxi. The day before checkout the same worthless check in man said a taxi had been arranged for our trip to the airport at 10:30 the next morning. Thank goodness we allowed extra time because, as you can guess, there was no taxi. And the office wasn't open. Thankfully a security guard helped us by calling a taxi, which took 30 minutes to arrive. Horrible stay. Even if you want a place close to the airport for a 1 night stay, look in Gravel Bay. Las Palmas may look nice at first glance, but it is a dump.

Not worth it! The room spelled of mildew, the shower was dirty (moldy), there was no toile set, there was not hot water, staff was not there most of the time to help, they let the beach out to groups from cruises, so it is over around. The only nice thing was the pool.

Pool is very nice and rooms were new. Short handed on staff. No refrigerator, internet did not work, tv had no picture, restaurant was not good! Food was bland no flavor and only place to eat close by unless you got a taxi to go somewhere else.
