An overall good experience but the bathroom facility wasn't working properly and there was a strangescentin the room. Someonecame and sprayed. They didn'task us to leavethe spaceuntilthey finished. I thinkwe shouldhve been asked to stay in the restaurant until they rectifiedthe issue. They said the bathroom would be addressed but it rwas unresolved. I only spent 1 night though.

I was in Kapok more than once. Before I ignored your invitation to give my review because this questionnaire is too long. Now since you insisted with your invitation I decided to spend time to reply. Kapok Is excellent hotel for my taste and all services are good. I like food there very much. I'll be back in June - see you all!

This hotel is ideally located for Savannah, the botanical gardens and the magnificent seven houses. We had a lovely room on the 7th floor with a large balcony, kitchenette, lounge area and separate bedroom. The balcony was a fabulous place to sit and watch parrots, macaws, lapwings and a host of other birds. Breakfast was a buffet service on the 8th floor - all very nice. We also ate at the Kava on the ground floor. We found the food to be very pricey once taxes and service had been added to the bill. The waiter got our order wrong and when he replaced it with the correct items, we were were charged for the items we hadn’t ordered - not really acceptable. A lot of tour groups seem to use this hotel, so if you arrive at the wrong time the lobby can be quite crowded.

My stay at the Hotel was excellent, beautiful staff, clean environment, delicious foods, eating breakfast at Tiki Village with the view was breathe taking, totally a wonderful experience!!!

The hotel staff were lovely, they were attentive and did the best job they could. The hotel itself was the let-down. The decor was old and tired and the room quality was disappointing. We were greeted by a smelly damp room with a noisy dehumidifier running on full blast alongside the old AC unit that was almost uncontrollable via the remote. The TV screen was rippled as a result of the damp and produced a poor picture. The bathroom was also disappointing and the water pressure was so low that the shower was pretty much a trickle and fluctuated from boiling hot to cold of its own accord. After 3 nights stay we were happy to pack our bags and leave. Not great for the price we paid.

I've stayed at Kapok a couple of times only due to its location. My Mom is in Belmont just as I enter the circular road off of Rigault Street. I find the price is too high and comparable with much newer and modern hotels in Port of Spain. I like that breakfast is included and it is the caribbean kind that I like. The rooms facing the pool at the back are very small and dated. I would never stay in room 393 again. The shower drain was very slow, there was no towel holder at the sink so keep putting it on the counter. The whole room is too small and dated. I could here the other guest through the joinind door. My card key kept malfunctioning so had to change it three times in a five day stay. Overall I like the hotel and would stay there again just not those small standard rooms. I love the pool and the food at the restaurants.
