We stopped for 5 nights, (1-5th June) and here are our comments. Pros Bedrooms and bathrooms were a good size with a comfortable bed. Breakfast had a large impressive selection and catered for all our needs. The rooms were equipped with a small fridge and a kettle, however the sachets of coffee etc., were not always replenished. Cons There was a lack of local information, i.e. bus/train/tram times and an idea of costs, and where to catch them. This would cost a very small amount of money to fix, i.e print out local schedules, or displayed on a local screen so it can be easily viewed and updated. Whilst asking at reception we found that the younger generation receptionists did not know, and were unable to find out. (e.g. phone the train station and ask!). The more mature staff were more helpful, but were not always on duty. There appeared to be a lack of general staff, e.g. when returning from the town, wishing to have a drink, there were no staff behind the bar. This was every evening, so not just a one off, so we had drinks at the Campanile (just down the road) instead. In summary a reasonable hotel, but let down by not getting the basics right.

Hotel was clean and modern and the staff on the front desk were outstanding and very helpful, especially the two ladies on duty. They helped me with taxi issues and I am truly thankful. Will definitely return for another stay because of the staff.

After stay at the Copenhagen CityHub I thought why not give this Rotterdam one a go as my experience before was great. Well firstly my god it was noisy, I had requested a quiet pod in the hotel as I'm a very light sleeper (even with earplugs in and pillow overhead lol) . So I was placed near the toilets/showers.... Ding ding ding alarms should have been going off then as the amount of banging those toilets/showers doors and the thumping of the people who sounded like they was thumping past all the pods (request a top pod in future). With ear plugs I was woken up early by other pod users who didn't have a care about anybody else who would have even been asleep as long as the could have a chat in the hall ways as loud as possible. So if you are going out and getting drunk this hotel is perfect for you but if you are on a sightseeing trip and wanting a early night we'll best of luck with that. None of my USB chargers were working in my pod but luckily I had brought a plug with more than 1 socket on it for charging. You get what you pay here and for a single person it's the cheapest option in the city. Lockers are huge and fitted my large suitcase in very easily. Staff very helpful as usual especially the American guy. Would I stay again, I'm afraid I wouldn't at this one as far too noisy for me. Maybe big groups shouldn't be all put on same floor and then they can meet in area downstairs and chat as loud as possible as they want at any time that suits them.

I love Novotel as a chain, and have stayed at this hotel before and was quite happy. This time I felt things were a little off and I wasn't as satisfied. I seem to recall getting a free bottle of water in the room, which it appears is not included anymore. No more individual shower gels and soaps, but now big pumps of soap, which is OK if you have the complete set of them. Yes, it's more environmentally friendly but it's also a sign of cost-cutting. Breakfast was more or less the same -- good choice and quality -- except on a busy weekend they seemed totally overwhelmed and people had to queue to get a table. On a quieter morning, I noticed a sign stating one can request omelettes and poached eggs from the kitchen, so I did, and this dish never materialized, which was a little awkward. The fresh orange juice machine is awful: constant noise and queues of people taking ages to each make one glass of juice, as it requires that the user slice the orange and then ram each half, one at a time, into the machine, yielding a tiny amount of juice. Repeat for 6 or 7 oranges to get a glass... It would be funny to watch as slapstick if it weren't so annoying to listen to. On the positive side, the rooms are still attractive, comfortable, and quiet.

It was a very pleasant experience - staff is very friendly and supportive, atmosphere is welcoming, CORPUS museum is just in front and might be a great place to visit with children, breakfast is delicious, the absolute highlight of the breakfast is the Chef who made my omelette with a big smile :) room was not big but fits well for 3 guest - the bed and the sofa bed both were comfortable. Silent environment. We enjoyed our stay.
Thank you Hilton Leiden Team:)
ผผู้เข้าพักI stayed in the suite - the hotel's largest room - for two nights in May. This hotel is certainly the most upscale option in Delft. The design details of the room were impressive - if aesthetics are something you value in a hotel stay, Hotel ****naal delivers. I loved the soaking tub in the room, and the additional seating area in front of the oversized window overlooking the canal. The TV set up at the foot of the bed was jarring with the rest of the room design, I wished that there was a way to push the TV stand down so that it did not block the visibility of the rest of the room. I liked the bluetooth speaker/record player, although I was confused because it was nonfunctional (the needle was missing) yet came with two vinyls. It did work as a speaker. I enjoyed daily breakfast and appreciated that there were many delicious options available including on-demand hot options. Cons: I wished there had been somewhere to lock a bike in the hotel's courtyard versus on the street. It was loud outside at night, and sound carried into the room. This didn't bother me, but some guests might have taken issue. My friend who lives in the area noted that there's a fraternity on the same block. Classes had just ended, so maybe the revelry isn't an issue normally. The hotel had very limited onsite bar/dining options outside of breakfast. I went down to order a cocktail 30 minutes before closing, and was told they were only able to offer beer or wine at that point. I'm assuming because they had already done bar cleanup for the night, but still... I was surprised given the upscale positioning of the hotel. Overall, I really appreciated my stay at Hotel ****naal and found the experience quite serene and elevated. Book the suite!
Fab place, booked two rooms for our family. Receptionist went to lots of trouble getting them next door to each other, we didn’t even request this. Everything was clean and welcoming, as we expect after staying in ibis hotels. Breakfast was really great - homemade DIY waffles were the highlight. Gluten free bread plentiful and warm for my daughter. Check out was late at 12 which suited us really well, the staff kept our bags at the hotel while we visited delft. Would recommend!
ผผู้เข้าพักWe spent three nights at hotel Johannes Vermeer and highly recommend it. The staff were helpful and friendly, our room was spacious and quiet and the breakfasts were delicious. The hotel is well-situated for exploring Delft. This is an old building and there is no lift. We were offered assistance on arrival and departure. We didn't need help on this occasion as our room was on the first floor but help would have been welcome had we been on the second floor. We would happily return.
