I prepaid my reservation at ********** with ********** gift card like I always do. I was put in a room with bathroom that was inaccessible, under construction/remodeling. (tools, rusty gaskets, debri in tub, safety bars laying on floor dismantled, etc) so I went back to check in and requested another room. The next room was fine. Then I received a banking text alert of my debit card charge. I called the front desk and was told it was an accidental charge as he didn't know I prepaid. My bank normally takes 5-7 business days to clear this. So I double paid for my overnight visit! Besides that being disappointing and very costly, the unacceptable thing is that no one was going to tell me! If my bank hadn't alerted me of a charge I wouldn't have known until I checked my account later on in the week. This definitely makes me rethink staying here again.
