I have stayed at this hotel 4-5 times because there is not many options in Maynooth center, that why they tend to have high prices for rooms, they have done some renovations to the place and it looks better, unfortunately on Saturday night the smoke alarm went off twice 11:30pm and 12:30am, and again on Sunday morning around 11:30am the staff seemed to think it no big deal from my conversation at front desk, unfortunately for me my son got very scared about the situation and didn’t sleep very well that night.

Glenroyal is a very nice hotel at good location. Spacious hotel room and have different facilities, like the kids club and restaurants on the ground floor.

Fantastic family stay! Staff were great, pool was great and the location great too! Room was great but could do with an update.

Reception, bar and restaurant all lovely. Food was good at both the dinner in the restaurant and breakfast.
Rooms and corridors in need of refurbishment.
The family pool is very dated.

When we arrived only 1 person in check in desk waited 15 mins to check in
Arrived into the family room it was absolutely disgusting smell of cigarette smoke it was overwhelming the pillows cushions all were smelly .. told reception the problem they advised no other room available spoke to duty manager next morning they moved us to another room so we had to repack our luggage
Found the whole experience just not relaxing at all … I asked could something be offered for the inconvenience told NO not good enough extremely disappointing

Pull out sofa bed was not made up in room and when I pulled it out the sheets were dirty with more than 3 stains

Wheelchair accessible family room is a bonus not many hotels have them,breakfast was lovely and staff friendly.

Lovely stay at this lovely hotel. Staff were great. Special mention to the lovely girl working on the leisure centre reception Monday 18th September at about 7pm. There was a massive queue, systems were down and she handled it like a legend. Deserves a thank you!!

Unhappy with dinner - wait just to put order in was 45 minutes which was unacceptable when you have a child. Ordered cocktail and this took approx 40 minutes to be made
