The property itself was gorgeous. The cleaning staff at the resort were amazing.
The reduction in stars is due to the check in process and the lady that checked us in. She was so concerned that the suite we were in was being occupied by two people instead of just one, even though I provided proof that I booked for two. She made us feel very uncomfortable. The bell staff brought us a glass of champagne each while the lady was hassling us over the reservation and never brought the glasses of champagne back after being asked to wait until after we completed check in.
After the check in debacle, we toured the facility. When we inquired about the restaurant’s hours of operation, we again were treated rudely by the restaurant staff because we were not dressed formally. After over 24 hours of airline travel (with connections), I felt that the treatment was uncalled for by the restaurant’s staff. I refused to eat in the property’s restaurants because of the treatment we received the first night after check in.
The breakfast selection was very good and the orange juice was delicious.
