Hotel Madinat

We stayed for eleven nights during the Festival of Patios in May 2024. The hotel is situated in the heart of the old town and is a converted traditional mansion house with a central patio. Many of the original features remain. We were welcomed by Paloma, who gave us an overview of the facilities and local area. All of the reception staff were extremely helpful. Our room was situated on the first floor at the front of the building. The room was immaculate and had been well prepared before our arrival. The large bed was extremely comfortable and the bed linen was changed daily. The main feature of the room was a large tiled bath, which also contained a shower unit. We made good use of this facility. One observation regarding the room would be that there was nowhere to store our clothes, other than half a dozen hangers for shirts, jackets etc. As we were staying for an extended period, we found ourselves literally living out of our suit cases for the whole period. We made use of the roof terrace on several occasions. The view across the old part of the city was amazing. Breakfast was served in a small dining area, which when busy was a bit tight for room. The food service area in particular we found rather cramped at times. The breakfast offerings were typical of the area and generally good. Overall, we found this hotel to be of a good standard. Well situated and within easy reach of the main attractions in the old town. However, we paid a premium price for our room and for the facilities available, I felt the hotel was somewhat over priced for what was on offer.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, Cristiano was great. Location is great in the alleys of the old town, close to every thing. Everything was really nice, the views from the roof terrace was breathtaking. We love the place, we will be back.

From the moment we entered Hotel Madinat we encountered a delightful experience. We found the staff very helpful with suggestions for what do do, tours (both free and paid), restaurant recommendations, were all quite good, actually outstanding. The rooms were cleaned to perfection each day. The location of the hotel is very central in the historic center. We highly recommend this hotel

The moment I walked, I was greeted with smiles and a welcome drink. It is a cozy, beautiful boutique hotel with excellent concierge service. The person at the front desk immediately gave us a brief overview of the city with recommendations to the best restaurants and activities in town. He even booked our horse flamenco show for that very night and made a dinner reservation at the restaurant he highly recommended. It was one of the best dinners during our 2 week stay in Spain! Hotel room was spacious and beautiful. He even helped us with taxi transfer so we didn't have to drag our luggages to get to a taxi station. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel to everyone who plans to stay over in Cordoba!

I can’t say enough about our stay. The staff were exceptional,very helpful and very professional. And Youseff’s cocktails on the terrace will be such a memory !

We stayed for several nights in June. As a couple we have previously stayed in many 5 star hotels in Europe. Mexico & Caribbean but the check in at this hotel was much better. Management arranged transport from the station ( which is a must due to the very narrow streets ) and on arrival we were greeted with cold lemonade whilst Youseff talked through the hotel history & activities in the area. He also recommended restaurants - very knowledgable. Whilst this happened our luggage had been taken up to our room. The whole hotel is beautiful & our room was no different. The roof top patio is a must - we had drinks up there watching the sunset before heading to Bar Baron for a few drinks with the locals ( again a great local bar - 2 mins from hotel ). Breakfast is good - lots of local food and a great cup of coffee. In summary this is a fabulous hotel & we would definitely recommend & stay again. Thank you Youseff and the team for a fantastic short stay.

Beautiful hotel, comfortable and clean rooms, staff were helpful and friendly - cannot say enough nice things. Yosef at the front desk was amazing, and the entire atmosphere of the hotel was so peaceful. The breakfast was delicious and the rooftop terrace perfect for relaxing. We stayed in the “superior room” on the top floor and it was clean and comfortable, but it did have an interesting bathroom situation (it was enclosed glass so pretty much open to the room for sound - fine for us but maybe not for everyone). Hotel is in a great location for sightseeing and easy to get to from the train station via taxi. We landed here after a long journey and felt immediately at ease and relaxed. Beds were comfy and rooms were quiet.

If you are after a small, quiet, and beautiful hotel in Cordoba, then Hotel Madinat is for you. Located on a tiny street in the old Jewish quarter, the hotel provides a very personalised experience for each of their guests. With only 12 rooms, they make sure all your needs are taken care of. Lovely breakfasts, cute rooftop terrace, well-appointed rooms and a great service made our shirt stay relaxing and easy. Highly recommended!

Our visit began with an exceptionally warm welcome. We were invited to sit at a table and were brought cold drinks and candied berries. Checking in included help booking a flamenco performance and a wonderful restaurant. The whole hotel is beautifully styled incorporating both archeological and quirky elements. The rooms are cool, silent and clean with a very comfortable bed. Some more shelving would have been handy. All staff , especially Youseff and Paloma, could not have been more helpful and kind. Would love to return to Hotel Madikat and will recommend to friends visiting Cordoba.
