Location is good - 30 seconds to u-bahn station, 10 mins from big deutsche bahn/s-bahn station (not the main station though). a bit far away from restaurants, but if you walk 10 mins, you will be there. We have not taken breakfast, cause it was too pricey (30EUR per person) and used the restaurants nearby instead. Also, spa is available for the reduced price of 6 EUR per person incl. some amenities, but we have not used this due to lack of time

The Dorint hotel is in a very central location with wonderful views of the cathedral. The staff were very professional (from pre-trip communication to check-in and check-out) and super friendly. The hotel is huge and has lifts to all floors. The room was large with ample furniture (larger bed than usual, built-in suitcase stand, full desk, armchair) and the decor a palimpsest of older furniture zhuzhed up with wall coverings, a decorative vase, floor lights in addition to bedside table lamps and desk light, etc. There was even a kettle to make tea and coffee, and a fridge, which was much appreciated! The bed was on the soft side and the pillows rather thin and fluffy, which was not quite to my liking. However, the blackout curtains and well-insulated windows made for a quiet night's sleep, despite the roads and building sites outside. It was still possible to open one window to let fresh air in. All in all, a very good experience.

Good bathroom amenities by rituals like essential by Dorint is providing in ritual of Jing, Bedding was comfortable and staff was overall trying to be attentive and was generally friendly. Within 10 minutes by public transport one is at main attractions at Rudolph Platz. Upscale Dorint Hotels restaurant offers like the venue linked bistro is within reach to essential by Dorint and appears to be outsourced, yet within 2 minutes walk accessible. Would recommend!
