We were a walk-in and had not booked a room online, deciding to stay after stopping at the hotel for lunch while travelling through. We had a wonderful stay, and what stood out most was the exceptional service we received at check in, including a room upgrade to a luxury suite which was fantastic and made our day.

We recently had our wedding in The Lakeside. It was an amazing day, Catherine and her team had every aspect covered including the sunshine. Would highly recommend this location for a wedding venue. Nothing was too much and we were very well looked after from the moment we booked hotel. Thanks to all in The Lakeside Caroline Leahy

My husband and I arrived on Sunday afternoon, 02nd June, to be greeted warmly by the lovely lady at reception. We received a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful, light-filled room, overlooking the lake as it was a celebration for our wedding anniversary. The hotel staff were friendly, chatty, kind and helpful in a most natural way. The food and service was second to none. We will be sure to return. Thank you for making our stay such a lovely one.

We attended my friends wedding over the weekend. And to say the venue was breath taking was an understatement. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Nothing was ever a problem. The food was 5 stars. Huge portions and so tasty. Would highly recommend for anyone to view this venue for their wedding

The waterfront room I was given was really special and indeed spectacular, with a veranda overlooking the lake (Loughderg). The food was first class and the girl who signed me in was as charming as she was attractive, and possessed a lovely sense of humour. So when you visit keep an eye out for Simone, she will make your stay a good one.

a beautiful place for a stay, my family and i stayed here for a Spring break, three lovely days. The hotel is old world and comfortable, staff are attentive and friendly, rooms are spacious and bright. Breakfast is a well stocked buffet and we were fortified for the day. The area itself is straight out of Darby o'gill and quaint as could be. Overall we loved it and will be back
