Sally Naidu is the manager and she goes above and beyond to accommodate travelers. I lead tour groups and for many years we have stayed at this hotel. Many staff members have been there year after year and that is a great testament to the management and staff morale. This hotel is always very clean and has lots of extras like an excellent breakfast, secure gated parking, free shuttle to and from the airport, lots of amenities and a beautiful relaxing environment
I needed a solo wellness, weekend getaway and used our corporate rate to book a stay here knowing the quality of The Ritz Carlton brand. I hadn't been since it was The Four Seasons. The hotel is quite lovely and has beautiful amenities. The door persons, bellhops and front desk associates were very welcoming and professional. Due to my Gold Elite Status with Bonvoy I received a complimentary upgrade to a corner tower king room with a furnished balcony. I was so blessed to receive this room and loved the view overlooking the pool and outdoor back patios with a slight view of the golf/fitness area. ROOM: The room was so spacious with a separate lounging area, large bathroom, and furnished balcony where I had my coffee/breakfast each morning and sat each night before bed. Unlike some of the other reviews, my room did have blackout curtains (I wouldn't have slept otherwise) and I was able to sleep in both days. The big CON to this room was that I went for a restful, relaxing getaway and the AC wasn't working properly. It was cool when I arrived and would shut off during the night so it kept me up on an off all night long due to it getting hot then cool (never cold) in my room all night long. I called for them to review it the next day and they did and said 'it is fixed'. A sweet front desk person (Jasmine) even came up to my room to show me how to turn the fan on high so it would stay on. The 2nd night was much of the same. The AC is so inconsistent in delivering airflow that I woke up sweating on and off again the 2nd night. DINING: This is the biggest miss for me. Knife Italian was reserved out the first night so I couldn't try it so you either had to do room service or Outlaw, their casual dining. I opted for Outlaw. While there was room for me, there isn't much seating and their menu is very limited but my Las Colinas Salad with brisket was delicious. Service the first night was great. Tried to get a drink and dessert there on Saturday night (not busy that night) and it took 20 mins for a server to approach me. I did try Knife the second night and found that the ambiance was nice but the food for the price is mediocre at best. I am gluten free and I found the food offerings in general for room service, Knife, and Pool bar are very limited. Knife was very hard to find gluten free items and our waiter said that their pastas were technically gluten free b/c they use a 0% flour which I didn't understand. He wasn't very engaging or helpful in my dietary restriction. I did has a poke bowl by the pool the next day and it was fantastic. IN my opinion much better that Knife Italian. Finally, my breakfast on morning one was avocado toast on gluten free bread. I asked for the bread to be really toasted first b/c often times it isn't and it gets soggy. While the avocado mixture was great they delivered it on soggy gluten free bread. The next morning, they offered it to me again and I declined and asked for a the gluten free Belgian Waffle and was told
Convenient area, very easy to get to. The room was very comfortable and Clean. Amazing breakfast. Event staff (Catherine) went above and beyond to make this stay very special. It was such a blessing to know that this hotel had an amenity option for special events.
This is not a 3 star hotel. The condition and quality is closer to a Motel 6. Everything is dirty and in disrepair. The rooms were not ready even after 5pm. We had to wait for over 20 minutes even though the place was half empty. The locks on the egress doors do not function. The rooms were likely last updated in the 1990s. The cabinets are falling apart the shower did not work. Stains all over the carpeting. A good amount of the exterior lighting is burned out. The flag is down at night but the lights are burned out The building is half painted. The carpeting is pulling up. There is mold under the sink.
Checked in late at night. Bliss front desk was very helpful and friendly.Has worked there for several years. Very passionate and making sure you have 5star service. Hotel has balcony with chairs and table facing courtyard.Very peaceful and quiet. Does not feel like you are in the city. Staff at check out very friendly and helpful. Bell from area knows great places to dine.
The hotel is fairly new, and while it has decent facilities, very clean and excellent location, the positives stops there! It is facing operational issue on multiple levels. The rooms are nice, clean, a little over designed, form over functions, like you cant open the closet door without adjusting the large floor lamp that is very nice but out of place. You can't close the curtains without climbing over the couch, and they simply forgot to connect the mini fridge/coffee machines the power, and it needed engineering to remove the whole setup and run cables BUT, the showstopper for me was the ”new” state of the art ventilation/heating system that sounds like you are sleeping next to a V8 muscle car. it cannot be turned off by the guest, and you have to ask engineering to come in and disconnect the unit. when you do that, you loose your heating, and it was a very cold week in Dallas that time. So I ended up keeping it on, and using earplug to be able to sleep, but had to ask. colleague to wake me up since, there is not way I will hear my phone alarm. another operational issue, where I get free breakfast due to my Diamond Elite status, but everyday, they faced me to sign a check at breakfast and told me it is a formality, but at checkout there was a while argument and delay till I convinced them to waive it It is a shame such a nice hotel is let down by there fixable issues, I will stick to my normal hotel, under another hotel chain on my visits to Dallas.
EEllen YDescription on Trip.com mentioned airport shuttle to hotel. But it was not available at all. Trip.com should have updated this. I would have booked Clarion as they had the shuttle. Check in experience not as good as I had hoped. Not much information offered and not very welcoming. No concierge or porter. I guess it's the same for all 2-3 star rated hotels in Dallas. If you have huge/heavy luggage, better pay more and go for the 4-5 stars.
Breakfast was good. I like the DIY waffles. Starts on time, ends on time.
Location is ok. Easy to get Uber, nearest mall is Grapevine Miles that has restaurants, a food court and outlet shops.
