It became obvious on check-in that the staff were pulling double or triple duty. Certainly as a result of staff shortages due to Covid, these folks were all pulling together to get things done. Not always available, there was always someone to find what you needed. The room was clean and the beds very, very comfortable. The breakfasts were good and well maintained. Julie, Holly and Jeff made my wife and I very welcomed.
I would’ve given this place 5 stars, but they were having issues with the water heater so the showers were lukewarm until the last day. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and well designed this hotel was. I’m a bit of a hotel snob, but I’m so glad I stayed here. The staff was very nice, our room was comfortable and parking was ample. I really enjoyed the free breakfasts (especially the cinnamon rolls!). The pool was nice and had towels for guests. Decent location as well.
As I arrived late the day I checked in, I waited at the front desk while a guy in front of me was bellyaching because he didn't get fresh sheets on his bed for the extra day he stayed. I waited patiently for about 10-15 mins to get checked in. I finally expressed my concern about wanting to get checked in, he was promptly VERY rude to me and it was at this point that the clerk finally acknowledged me and I was told I was to go to kiosk to check in. VERY IMPERSONAL!!!! THAT STARTED OF BAD. I was also told in the morning on the phone, that the pet charge was $25 and when I checked in to the kiosk person, Max, told me that the charge is $35. You can throw away my kitty poop then too.
