Very friendly staff, clean rooms and a great bar. Whilst visiting a very wintry Esbjerg in January for business I booked the Britannia Hotel as normal. In my opinion the very best hotel in Esbjerg and always an enjoyable stay. Special shout out to Sophia in the bar, serving excellent drinks with a friendly smile and helping make it a great stay. Also to Mia, nothing too much effort and again a friendly professional face at front of house. Guys (and girls) thank you!!
Best view for sure and that is the nicest thing I have to say. Stayed in the top biggest apartment expecting a luxury stay considering the price. And here is the problem. Both Remote controls needed new batteries which I would expect to have been checked before. Kitchen contained 4 measly standard glasses 4 plates and cutlery plus one pan and one pot plus a bit more but why not a simple thing like a wine glasset? I know we could ask for stuff but why did you not just add simple things like that. Kettle plus coffee machine and 2 heating stations. No mini oven, No paper towel which would have been nice. Big and nice bathroom but be aware that you will have a floor full of water after showering, pretty annoying to say the least. Cleaning not that great to be honest. 2 days out of 3 they arrived at 4 oclock though I do understand scheduling can be hard but still. Hoovering only when we were there? One set of towels after each visit even though we were 2 people. Very rough and cold apperance though I guess that is part of the look so that is what it is. Breakfast ok but not too special. Again Best thing is the view. All in all ok but too expensive for what it is in my opinion. No possibility to charge your car. These days I would expect that.
We had booked this hotel as a family of 5 for a weekend away. We chose this style of room to give us more space. So there were 7 beds in total. It is a clean but basic hotel and I would say quite expensive, nearly £200 a night.
This did include a buffet breakfast, which was nice but limited hot drinks options. The staff were friendly and the lady replenished the food often.
There is plenty of parking.
