The hotel was nice

Room was not ready before 6.30PM while it was announced 3.00PM. We had to wait in the lobby. No compensation was ever offered. We couldn’t enjoy any of the hotel amenities after 11AM on checkout day. Felt like we were kicked out from the hotel. The gift shop was sold out on all items we wanted to buy. Not a 5 stars hôtel in any possible way.

Disneyland Hotel used to be our 'home hotel' when visiting Disneyland Paris and we loved it there. We have been eagerly awaiting it reopening after its royal transformation and on the whole we weren't disappointed! The hotel is welcoming and bright and there is so much to see, explore and discover, there are little details to be seen if you take the time to look. The welcome we received as one of the first guests back through the door was incredible! There were happy smiling Cast Members welcoming people back, I'm sure it must have been great for them to finally have guests back in the hotel! There was the chance to meet Mickey in his Royal attire and even a little personalised guided tour of the key areas that we might need whilst we were staying. We even managed to nip into the shop and make the very first purchase there before we'd even checked in! Castle Club is something else! Advertised as a hotel within a hotel, I was very interested to see what had changed since our last stay in December 2019. The first thing I noticed was the classic telephone was still there for calling the lift if required, this is a small, silly thing but meant a lot to a fan like me! The CC reception Cast Members always greet you whenever you arrive and wish you a pleasant day whenever you leave, often asking if everything is OK with your stay. The new rooms are beautifully decorated and well laid out, there are plenty of sockets for charging all those modern day gadgets and they're even by the beds now which is a huge improvement than before! The magic wand switch really is magical, a very nice touch! Our moon and sun switches were wired in the opposite way to what they should have been on the switches between the beds in our room. If you have Disney+ this can be streamed to the TV and you can also link your phone to the sound system in the bathroom to play music whilst you're getting ready for a day in the parks! Unfortunately our room didn't receive turn down on our second night, we're obviously more than capable of moving some cushions and pulling back the covers but I missed the 'bedtime story' card that gets left on the bed (I have a collection of these from before the closure and from some of the other hotels) from what I can gather ours wasn't the only room not to get turned down that night. Another perk of Castle Club is the lounge. The castle mirrors in here really are beautiful and the new railings make it very regal. There is a fantastic choice of drinks available, both hot and cold (included) and alcoholic (additional cost), I highly recommend the mocaccino and the strawberry nectar. Drinks are always forthcoming and not long after you've finished there is the offer of another, you certainly won't go thirsty! Breakfast offers a fantastic selection of 'hot' and cold options from cereal, pastries, waffles and pancakes to sausages, bacon, eggs and even a chef to make you an omelette! The hotel, was stunning what an atmosphere! The kids and we loved it. It great to go in the theme park and come back for glass of wine and some soft drinks for the kids and a little snack in the afternoon. After a great diner we enjoyed swimming and went back to the park for some fantastic rides and lightshow with fireworks. Point of attention: Reserve the restaurants in the Disney Hotel well upfront else they could be booked, people in the hotel aren't privileged for reservations.

This hotel is very convenient for enjoying Disneyland. The room was comfortable and it was a waste to stay for just one night. Next time I would like to spend a relaxing time.

Our family trip to Disneyland Paris for my father’s 70th birthday turned into an ordeal, leaving us extremely unhappy and tarnishing our special celebration. Here’s a breakdown of the distressing issues we encountered: - **Excruciatingly Long Check-in:** It took a staggering 1.5 hours to check in, bogged down by confusion over simple things like the allocation of keys and park passes for our two rooms. This should have been straightforward but wasn't. - **Unprepared Rooms:** We were told that our adjoining rooms would be ready around 3 PM, yet one room was unavailable until after 6:30 PM. This delay was particularly problematic as it affected a family member with mobility issues, who needed to rest and was kept waiting unnecessarily. - **Room Allocation Mishap:** After hours of waiting and being repeatedly told that our second room (they gave us the specific room numbers) was still being cleaned, we were shocked to discover that it had been given away to another guest. Despite being physically present in the adjacent room, we were kept in a continual state of uncertainty. This negligence, combined with the staff's indifference, especially as my mother broke down in tears after hours of waiting “for a few minutes” that turned into 3 hours, was deeply distressing and completely unacceptable. Additionally, the key to our first room did not work, and our luggage ended up locked inside. A luggage attendant kindly but unlawfully opened our door because the front desk would not answer his calls. What was infuriating was not just the long walk to the front desk, which totaled 30 minutes back and forth, but also the wait in line once we got there to get someone to assist us. - **Lack of Cleanliness:** The cleanliness standards were severely lacking. To our dismay, we found empty bottles littering the doorstep of our newly assigned room, a clear sign of negligence that further compounded our frustration. - **Electrical Problems:** The hotel was also facing serious electrical issues. One of our rooms experienced lights that started to flicker erratically—turning on and off around midnight, with no way for us to turn them off. This could have been a humorous nod to a ******* mansion, if not for the fact that it took the staff 30 minutes to respond to our call for help. When the electrical staff finally arrived, they were extremely rude, ignoring our concerns and instead discussing organizational issues among themselves. This further exemplified the lack of professionalism and care we encountered. - **Ruined Birthday Plans:** The continual setbacks not only wasted our time but also significantly disrupted our pre-planned birthday lunch. We had pre-paid for a birthday meal at the Auberge de Cendrillon, but due to check-in confusion, our reservation mistakenly included only four seats instead of five. To resolve this issue, a member of our party had to leave the park and return to the hotel lobby during mealtime to obtain a physical coupon. It took us 1.5

As hotel was fully refurbished room was immaculate, only fault was over emphasis on day/night lighting, no option to turn off light in toilet. Hotel staff seemed frazzled, or overworked, most did their best to respond to requests but was surprised they didn't t go out of their way to solve problems which you would expect considering the cost of the hotel. When we asked them for a bottle of water because the water filter on our floor was broken they wouldn't give us one!
