I fancy myself as an afficionado of 2-star French hotels and I think the Saint Jean is my best ever. My room overlooked the memorial, the recently pruned trees and the Saone. Clean, original features, good bathroom. Parfait 2 star hotel.

Booked as a stop on route to Switzerland. Really good welcome from Stan, checked us in and even helped take luggage up to our 2nd floor room (a first for us). Recommended a good bar to watch rugby. Lovely building with some quirky doorways on stairs. Enjoyed the town a lot. Comfy clean beds, and a darn good kip. Bath/shower good lashings of hot water. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. After a good chat we explored the town. An enjoyable if short stay, but would definitely check in again, due to such a warm family feel about this hotel. Thanks.

It is a quaint little place, nice location and the staff are friendly. Unfortunately it is let down a serious lack of parking. I had to park on the street 15 minutes walk away. The shower in our room was a trickle and my partner was cold all night. The rooms are big with old style heating so not very effective, plus one radiator in the room did not seem to be working.

This was a charming and clean property that is in progress on making updates. It was very clean, with a friendly staff. Some finishes were being updated (for example, a baseboard in the bathroom) but nothing that negatively impacted our stay. Good continental breakfast

Très bonne nuit passée à l’hôtel Saint Jean, le gérant a été très accommodant pour nous permettre d’arriver tard le soir, et les petits déjeuners étaient gratuits pour les enfants. Très facile d’accès depuis l’autoroute et des places avec parcmètre (gratuit la nuit) sont disponibles juste devant l’hôtel.

El hotel necesita una reforma y la falta de ascensor es dura si te toca en los pisos superiores. Fácil aparcar cerca. La conserjería está cerrada hasta cierta hora , pero luego son amables. El ambiente de la zona es bueno . Las habitaciones son amplias.

Hotel vétuste mais surtout tres sale. Pour acceder a notre chambre la lumière du couloir ne fonctionne plus. Escabeau, chute de placo juste devant notre porte. Etants rentrés dans la nuit contents d'avoir une lampe sur notre portable. Chambre sale, chenis, poussière, et surtout sale de bain limite insalubre. Une boite de dérivation avec fils électriques apparents au dessus du lavabo. Pas de pression dans la douche. Le placo ne va pas jusqu'au carrelage du sol.
Seul le petit-déjeuner etait tres bien.

Franchement, ça paie pas de mine, c'est simple, probablement un peu à rénover, mais c'est génial, beau et la novlangue dirait hyperauthentique. Une promenade dans ces bons vieux hôtels où on s'attend à voir débarquer une diligence et pouvoir s'asseoir autour d'un feu de cheminée. Petit déj simple mais très bien.
