Motel 6 Cedar Rapids, IA - Airport

I rarely write an extensive review but had to. I travel every week for work. I’ve stayed in some dives. This is one! I think the city is housing homeless or low income people here. Broke down cars in lot. Campers. Filthy carpet in hallways. Building is generally in very poor condition. Bathtub was right out of 1970 with mold and valves that stick. Mattress was on a platform and hard as a rock. AVOID THIS PLACE. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED. I SAID WHAT I SAID.

No shower in #235. You can take a bath if you use the complimentary disposable coffee cup as a drain plug though

unfortunatly this place is due for a major renovation Ive stayed here before and it was fine.

Never again. I stayed at this particular Motel 6 because of the hospitality that Danielle shown. In just the couple days she has been gone it’s gone down hill. I’ve now left and staying at the Baymont Inn & Suites. There’s 2 foreign men walking around all hours of the night talking on the phone no respect of us that have to be at work. If they are going to be workers run now. You know what this will turn into. I will be staying at whatever hotel Danielle moves too. Holly was great during my stay and deserves a raise. She jumped right in and took over the role

Myself and 2 other coworkers rented 3 rooms for one night. We had a great check in with the lady that I believe was the GM who was training another young man but after hearing yelling and we witnessed it the young lady with the mask on even said to the man whoever he was this is not appropriate to be screaming where guest can hear and asked him to repeat the disrespectful things he was saying to the poor girl. And she was sick in top one that. My coworker recorded it. That man should not be in any kind of position that he is in. We left. None of us want a refund and we have canceled all of our Motel 6 stays for the future trips. If you allow your employees to be treated like that then how do you treat your guest. If the young lady reads this contact us if you need the recording or a statement. I’m glad that young man she was training walked out because he did as we left and stayed somewhere else.

I stayed because of the hospitality and the atmosphere Danielle brought to the hotel. To make her leave after all the positive changes that have taken place in the past year is beyond me. Myself and the others in my company will not be staying here any longer. We left after we seen the outside and were told by the workers about Danielle. That alone should tell you about who you employ to tell guest about business that shouldn’t be discussed.

This place is like home away from home, id recommend it to someone if asked for a great place to stay

Loved my visit. The staff is very friendly and inviting. The price is great. Well located.

I walked in and had a great check in. The lady with the mask was really nice then some man that was walking around taking pictures talk to her so demeaning and hostile. I would have walked out. I don’t stay and siege my money at Motel 6 anymore if that’s how they allow people to talk to staff. Shame on you
