My Friend and I visited for two nights at the start of May, we were so impressed we have decided that we shall visit as an annual trip now. Our only regret was only staying for the two nights. The hotel was peaceful and quiet, the staff were friendly and helpful & the facility were great. It would seem we visited before the season in Trapani had started, which made the visit exceptionally peaceful and quiet. Although it seemed the hotel catered for children and families, there were only a few (I prefer adult only hotels). The hotel is located a short walk from the town approximately 20 minutes at a slow stroll. It was so nice to visit the town as it wasn’t touristy at all. Gave a real feel of how locals live day to day. The food we had at the hotel was excellent with plenty of choice, with top quality food served. Although the pool was still cold, too early in season it was nice to take a dip to cool after the sun. The massage was excellent at such a reasonable price don’t know why I only had one. I would recommend this as one of the top places I have stayed and as mentioned at the beginning we will be returning.

Pros: - Very clean throughout (inside and out) - Wide selection of breakfast - Smooth check in and check out - Easy manoeuvring within the hotel complex - Comfortable beds - Beautiful scenery by the pool and on the beach Cons: - Minimal amenities - Swimming Pool was freezing despite the weather being really warm - If you don't have all inclusive, the restaurant is 35 Euros PP which is quite expensive - There were no sockets in our hotel room (only for the TV) and it didn't have the usual European socket so we had to buy an adapter at a shop 15 minutes walk away. - They initially gave us room without a balcony but did upgrade us immediately when we asked. - There weren't any luggage lockers - The staff at reception were helpful but didn't seem too friendly/welcoming - There were a lot of mosquitos making it difficult to sleep

Dont let the photos fool you veryyyyy overpriced for what you get an outdated old room with no balcony just 2 windows that better closed with curtains so you dont see the very unplesant dirty and ugly wall in your face and some dirty grass ,a very bad smell of drainage coming from the bathroom that you have to keep always the door closed so smell dont come in the bedroom,shower door plastic closure with mould ,toilet with rust ,shower spill water everwhere and doesn,t hold on its stand it kept falling down every time ,found a towel folded back dirty i couldnt believe my eyes 🤔,pool close at the best time of the day opens back 3.30pm i dont know for what reason every body waiting for the go ahead 😆overpriced drinks 4 euro for a small icetea. 4 star what a joke🙄i wasted 670euro and 30 euro city tax total 700€ for this mess never AGIAN the only positive thing is the parking and thats it Thanks

Nice location close to the Trapani city and not so far from Erice. Rooms quite nice, delicious sicilian food. Private beach is not so big but well maintained. Swimming pool in front to the beach and close to the external restaurant. Very nice SPA and perssonell very well prepared. Massages are not expensive at all. Friendly reception team and professional hotel management.

Don‘t go there except you ONLY care about the beach and swimming in the sea. Rooms are extremely tiny, mattresses are completely worn out, pillows hard as a rock, you hear everything from the hallway, rooms right, left and above and the loud elevator makes you jump up as if it stops directly in your room. No way to have a good nights sleep! Breakfast only starts at 7:30, but who cares about horrible coffee, tap water, canned fruits and powdered eggs anyway. You can get an acceptable coffee and bottled water at the pool bar, but you have to wait til 9 am an pay for it. Pool is open between 9 am and 7 pm where you can enjoy very loud music all day long. It only stops during feeding time for dinner, which you have to book in advance without knowing what you will get. The loud music continues at the pool til late evening.and it affects the area at the beach as well. No quiet relaxing moment all day long. Yes, we tried to check out earlier and leave this place and we could have done that, but without any refund for the remaining days. It’s hard to really argue if there is nobody who speaks English good enough to understand your complaints. Luckily we have a rental car to escape during the day and evenings which most of the unhappy people here don’t have! I would NOT recommend to go there if you don’t want to be guided like a herd of sheep: now you can have breakfast, now you can go to the pool and beach, now you have to listen to what shouts out of our music boxes, now you have to go to dinner, listen again, go to bed …

So, so bad. There is no drinking water in the room, rooms havent got a balkony and windows DOESN’T open. They have not enought sunbeds because they rent some for people from outside the hotel. Water at restaurant is terrible, breakfast always the same, eggs from powder and couple croissant. The worst are vegetables and fruits - fiew tomatos and watermelon and they are the cheepers in supermarket… Generaly DO NOT GO there.

Dirty with cockroaches. And they will not refund or allow early checkouts. I truly hate writing bad reviews but hope this prevents you from experiencing such an impact on your holiday. Fully explained below: -We arrived at this resort outside of the city (not a very nice location) but we thought from the photos it would be more secluded. It was not. -Upon check in, we noticed the halls to be dirty with old towels piled up at the end. -Entering the room, was worse, it has a poor smell, hair on the floor, stains on the top cover with the thinnest bed and discoloration on the walls. I went to the front desk to cancel the reservation but they were not helpful even in the slightest. We decided to tough it out because we’d be on the beach all day anyway… Oh man, the beach was not clean either. the live music and staff at the pool were nice though (would give one star for this alone) We went to town for dinner and came back to ultimately the worst experiences of jumping around cockroaches. 🪳🪳🪳This was the bottom line. I didn’t want to make a scene so I took the front desk assistant to the side to explain how this room was not up to par or advertised. She proceeded to raise her voice and tell me I have paid. Unfortunately At this point I needed to request a Supervisor who she then said would call… still waiting on that call. Slum of an experience, we do advise to stay elsewhere.

The site and position are just beautiful. Kitchen, restaurant and service terrible. Suspension of being in Sicily! Complete lack of vegetables and fruit for lunch and dinner. Very little choice of meals. Monotonous, repetitive meals.

We’ve just had a week long stay at the Baia dei mulini resort. First and foremost, I would not count it as a 4 star resort. It is definitely more 3 star. Perhaps at one time it would have been 4, but it needs some serious updating to hit that standard. There were some really good things about the hotel. But when I prioritise what I want most from a hotel - a good nights sleep, and a decent breakfast, it sadly fell short on both counts. On that basis, I wouldn’t stay again, though I would definitely visit Trapani and the west coast of Sicily again. First - the positives Good air conditioning - a must in Sicily The pool and pool area were always very clean. We went just before peak season, and always managed to get a lounger, but I can see that wouldn’t be the case in peak season. There were 30 loungers and less umbrellas. The beach has LOADS of sunloungers and umbrellas, and had bags of beach toys hung up for everyone’s use, which is a nice touch. The sea there isn’t very child friendly. Gets deep very quickly with powerful waves. If you’re wanting to lay on a lounger while the kids paddle, this isn’t the resort for you. The front desk were very helpful. They sorted us out with an adapter when our European adapter wouldn’t fit the socket, and moved our room when we had noisy neighbours (more about that in the negatives). The room was spruced up and fresh towels given every day. Our second room had been refurbished, and was a much higher standard than our first room. There is entertainment every day - some yoga and pool fitness in the day, and live singing at night. However, it seemed to be the same every day. Ok for a night in, but if you’re not one for leaving the resort, it could be very “ground hog day”. All of the staff we spoke to were polite and friendly. There is free parking with the hotel. The room has a small fridge for keeping your drinks (and illicit food stash) cold. Negatives Absolutely no sound proofing. For the first two nights we were next door to screaming babies and arguing parents. Honestly, I felt for them. Must have been horrendous. But these babies cried all day and all night, without reprieve. There was no sound proofing, and it was honestly like they were in the room with us. When we were moved, we were 2 rooms and a linen cupboard away, and could still here ilthe screaming. We had to put towels along the bottom of both the main and bedroom door to get some sleep. The food was poor. We were breakfast only, and it was the same very low average offering every day. On one day I had the cereal, which was stale, and the milk had turned! We had a look at the evening dinner menu, which is limited and rubbish. I’m glad we weren’t on a full board basis, as we wouldn’t have eaten it. There is no escaping the live entertainment, which plays every night until 11-11.30 p.m. We were as far away as it’s possible to get, and could still here it.
