Vale de Milho Village

Beautiful area, peaceful and relaxing. Friendly reception from Sandra and Hugo. Accommodation ideal for a relaxing break. Lovely Restaurant near by or a 25 minute walk to the centre of Carvoeiro. Private pool and facilities to eat in if you don’t mind cooking.

We travelled from Jersey directly to Faro. We hired a car which is around a 40 min drive. We rented a two bedroom town house with swimming pool. The accommodation was immaculate, clean, had every you need, kitchen well equipped, hairdryer, iron etc. Bed are extremely comfortable and the bathroom have great showers, the Aircon worked well, but having the big patio doors open without Aircon works welk. No bugs, just lovely. There are 5 restaurants all with 5 to 25 mins working distance.

Brilliant vilas! Spacious and clean, they are very well equipped and the kitchens had everything we needed including a Nespresso machine. The private pool was great and there was a nice and large outside table as well as inside table, plus pool lounges. You do need a car, as otherwise it would be hard to get around, but parking on site which is great. A number of close supermarkets so we were easily about to get everything we need and have a much more cost effective and convenient trip, rather than have to pay to eat out for breakfast, coffee etc. We still went out for some meals and there are a lot of local options. Local beaches are quite small so we drove to some of the larger beaches about 30 mins away. Only downside is the sound does rather echo out. We had a group next to us who played a lot of music outside, so that was quite annoying, but it wasn’t late at night and it is quiet inside if you close the door.

Wow..wow..wow!!! This place is amazing!! We are still here, travel back home tomorrow but had to write about how nice this place is! We arrived just after 3 to the most welcoming site manager Hugo, he was so helpful, showing us the maps & giving a little insight of what’s around. We drove around to our house & it was better than expected! I mean it looked good on the pics but in real life it’s even better! The space you have as a family is immense! We have teenage daughters so it’s nice for them to have their own space as well as us! All was super clean & furnishings modern & stylish. Kitchen fully equips, air-con amazing & the choice of Netflix/Disney etc was a huge bonus for us, we like watching a film or two! Well..when I saw the automatic shutters I was amazed! This was a game changer! You can literally shut the heat out! ..was brill! Then we checked the pool out which is wicked, being able to take a dip when u want was amazing ..& no sun bed wars which we wanted to avoid this year. Only two sun beds were around the pool & so we asked for another two & they were delivered straightaway! Great service! Asked Hugo for umbrellas too & it was no problem at all! Cleaning staff v attentive, dropped fresh towels regularly. Over all this place is a beautiful place to stay..but a car is probably needed as there aren’t many close by restaurants in walking distance. Eating out - we hired a car here so could drive out to different restaurants, here are some my picks. The Lighthouse - lovely meal, terrace to have drinks after. Maybe book here as gets v busy. Cafe fino - great English breakfast! Toastier etc. We didn’t try it for other meals but they do lunch & dinner (maybe we’ll try tonight?) Jardim do farol - huge portions! Nice meals. We had, beef stroganoff, pork, pizza & all really nice! We will definitely return to Vale de Milho, such a private place which we appreciate when we holiday. Thanks Vale de Milho we’ll be back!

Our first time visiting the village! We were welcomed in four hours earlier than we were expecting to be accepted in! The reception manager was extremely helpful! Once in the villa we were overwhelmed at the sheer size of the property, three excellent sized bedrooms with three en suite bathrooms, an enormous kitchen and a self contained down stairs loo! The verandas on the bedrooms were excellent, the garden furniture and tables were more than adequate for our party of six! If I had one gripe about this village it would be the location! It is a little far out so you would need a car to get to the local attractions and the actual postcodeu for the property doesn’t take you to the entrance so it’s extremely hard to find! The best practice when ordering a taxi is to arrange for it to go to the Vale De Milho Restaurant that is just up the road as this seems easily findable! All in all an excellent place to stay in an extremely safe gated environment! Would I bring my family back here again? - absolutely - can’t wait to come again.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa with our kids. The houses are very spacious and clean. Every bedroom has its own bathroom. There is a big balcony and terrace and a garden with a nice private pool. The location is great. Very close to nice villages, beaches, restaurants and lots of activities (also for kids).

Een verassing toen we aankwamen. Een heel erg luxe huis. Mooie keuken, de kamers Een eigen badkamer en een eigen zwembad! Super vriendelijke mensen en als er wat is word je meteen geholpen. Hugo heeft ons geholpen om de arouco 516 bridge te reserveren in porto aangezien het reserveren alleen in het Portugees kon. Huisje word regelmatig schoongemaakt. Je hebt wel een auto nodig om de omgeving te bekijken en om naar het centrum te gaan of boodschappen te doen. Het kan lopend. Dan duurt het ongeveer 30 minuten. Echt lekkere dagen gehad hier en zou zo weer teruggaan, echt een aanrader.

Zeer aan te bevelen! Op een “gated Compound” staan rond de 30 huizen van hoge kwaliteit. Wij hadden een uiterst comfortabel en goed afgewerkt huis. Ruime kamers, goede bedden en luxe badkamers. Prettige tuin met terras, goede meubels en een fijn privé zwembad dat ook dagelijkse service krijgt. Overal in huis is airco aanwezig en de keuken is modern. Onze huurauto konden wij op de eigen oprit parkeren. De omgeving is veelzijdig met goede stranden, stadjes, supermarkten en horeca binnen 20 minuten rijden. Ook als je wilt golfen zit je hier goed! Daarnaast heb je meer dan genoeg activiteiten (vooral op/rond zee) in de omgeving. Deze kan je allemaal aanvragen via de receptie van het complex. Een groot pluspunt is de service van alle medewerkers, met Hugo voorop! Bijzonder vriendelijke behandeling, behulpzaam en staat echt voor je klaar. Daarnaast spreekt iedereen ook vloeiend Engels. Wij hebben ons echt op ons gemak gevoeld en dat kwam mede door Hugo en zijn team. Grote klasse.

Zeer gezellig en comfortabel met ons eigen zwembad in de tuin. En parking voor de deur. Hygiene en service TOP. Respect, Sandra, ontvangst & Crew. Privacy kan iets beter. De haag tussen elk pand heeft een vrije opening/toegang en dus ook inzicht bij elke buur. Ook een hondje kan lopen naar elke buur = een ervaring. Gewoon een houten poortje plaatsen (niet op slot), lost veel op. Evacuatie bij noodsituaties via de tuin blijft dan nog steeds mogelijk.
