We had never been to this area of Italy and stayed one night on our way to the Amalfi coast. Wanted to see the Paestum ruins. We loved it so much that we returned after our Amalfi coast visit. The hotel was really comfortable. Interestingly decorated and appointed. The staff was so helpful and accommodating. Would recommend it to anyone!

An absolutely beautiful resort near Archaeological site and museum. Staff was accommodating and friendly, the grounds were well maintained, clean spacious rooms, and an excellent restaurant to accommodate a variety of tastes and prices. Our 3 nights there were peaceful and relaxing and we would return again. Our only complaint was the maitre'd was a bit officious and never really connected with guests. Breakfast included with the room was great.

This hotel is beautiful, very clean, an Instagram photo friendly destination! The suite was spacious with good storage and a nice bathroom. The pool is luxurious but there are not enough sun loungers. I was surprised how little there was. Too many seats not enough loungers. They have a jacuzzi pool upstairs by the bar which is really nice and lovely to chill out in. The beach is about a 7 minute drive with the hotel shuttle. It’s a really nice beach run by an English/Italian family, they are friendly and there is a very reasonable priced bar there with ice-cream for the kids. Definitely worth a visit. The breakfast has it all, you won’t go hungry. There is no fitness centre but the hotel is so close to the beach one can take a stroll there instead. So…it may not be the 5 star you are used to but it is fab so definitely worth checking out.

Undoubtedly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I will write a more detailed review if I ever get any sleep tonight since they fail to advertise this is in fact a party hotel and NOT a family holiday resort. And furthermore I have struggled throughout our stay to work out how they managed to get a five star rating. A hotel that is all form and no substance.

the hotel itself is very stylish and modern; a mix of pop art furniture and fine marble; the breakfast area and bar is also very modern and nice; the rooms are old fashioned - not dirty but would need a bit refurbishment to come up to the expectations you have entering the hotel; down to the south of Italy it is helpful to speak some words in Italian - not all staff is able to understand your english; breakfast was a bit weird: everything was prepared by the waiters which was maybe due to corona but was not quite helpful (speed and thickness of the cutted slices); coffee was made on request (very good); pool area was very nice and tidy; beach is reachable only by shuttle (car provided by hotel for free); takes you within 10 mins to the beach; beach towels can be borrowed at reception (3 E); in the surroundings there is nothing special so you need a car there, which can be parked for free in front of the hotel; problem: every day (!) there was a big wedding/event; sometimes of course with loud music/noise; the hotel is more a party location than a hotel to stay for a relaxing holiday; Amalfi coast is about 1 hour drive

Me and my husband chose this beautiful location to have our wedding reception. Everything was perfect. The food was amazing, each course delicious. The staff were really professional, attentive and really helped to make our day special. Especially Nicola, who was really patient and helpful in the lead up to the wedding . Our guest had a wonderful time, we’ve received so many compliments. Thank you so much for making our day so wonderful! :)

DO NOT stay at MecPaestum, unless you like feeling like a party crasher at a wedding you weren’t invited to! Me and my husband stayed at the hotel and intended to relax and have a romantic holiday in this, what we thought, beautiful hotel with this stunning pool. But no - every single day AND night there was a wedding reception, that took up the whole first floor of the hotel - including the pool area. So for the 7 days we stayed at the hotel, we never got the chance to try out the pool. Apparently it is only an accessory for the wedding receptions. There are two jacuzzis on the second floor that were open for guests of the hotel, but a tiny jacuzzi with water up to my knees was not what I expected from a five star hotel. Fortunately hotel guests have access to a private beach owned by the hotel, and most days we fled there from the noise and crowd at the hotel. And the nights were horrible, with music blasting until late and people coming and going all through the hotel. Since the price of the hotel is sky high, we were utterly disappointed with our stay there. And if you want to try to relax, in spite of the noise outside, and watch some tv you’re out of luck. The Sky network that was promised never worked, and the staff that was informed and asked to fix it never did.
