Great hotel and very new when we visited. Stayed in a suite and very comfortable. AC was not working in the room or the gym and both hot. Understaffed in the international restaurant. We are on two nights, first night slightly better than second when waited 40mins from sitting down to being offered a drink! They need more waiting staff. Food was excellent. Reception staff not very welcoming, which was a surprise for a 5 star hotel. Porter Sergio was really helpful, took luggage from car and delivers to room, told us about the facilities etc… overall a spectacular hotel / location, but needs some polish operationally. I hope they can make it work, if service in the restaurant dose not improve they will get few repeat visitors.

What a fantastic hotel up in the Pyrenees an old railway station transformed into a great hotel.All the staff were friendly,helpful and made life easier.We booked the 1928 restaurant in the railway carriages outside and the food and service was superb.A special mention to the lady in charge of everything there,she was efficient and witty and made the experience memorable.My wife had a spa trea**ent and was so impressed with the products used that she bought some to bring home.The hotel recreates the railway theme and feeling successfully and our room was pleasant and airy.Would come again

We spent three fabulous nights in this amazing hotel for our anniversary. The old Canfranc station has been beautifully refurbished into this 5-star hotel. The room was large and very comfortable, with great views of the mountains. The staff were efficient and very friendly. The International restaurant was a great choice for our anniversary dinner. Highly recommended!

You really need to stay here once. 1 night is perfect enough. There's not much to to around. But you will experience a true stay at Canfranc. The hotel breaths a true story from the past and I am really happy the building is renovated and open to the public. When staying here, make sure to have booked your dinner (in the train!) at 1928 or Canfranc Express.

Having heard about the hotel we diverted out of our way on our road trip through France & Spain to stay overnight; so pleased we did. A truly unique place to visit. Exceptionally well refurbished to the highest standard, and exceedingly well appointed rooms. All the staff we encountered were super friendly, and efficient. We stayed on a Monday night, out of season, so unsurprisingly the hotel was only a third full, and the bar & restaurant lacked a**osphere; we’re sure would be very buoyant when busier. Recommended.

This is a lovely hotel in a spectacular setting. The conversion of the historic train station into a luxury hotel has been done so nicely. We enjoyed everything about the hotel and will definitely return. All of the staff were very nice, and we were especially grateful to meet Javier at reception, and Raul in the Biblioteca cocktail bar. Javier helped us plan an amazing hike from the hotel, he is very kind. Raul makes the most delicious cocktails, and on the nights he is running the bar solo it is a calm and relaxing experience. We appreciated that.

This was our 3rd visit and unexpectedly underwhelming. The location and building are unbeatable hence the 2 star rating. The food was too salty and 2 of 4 main course dishes burnt. The service was slow and not very attentive, we had to ask for everything and catch the staffs attention. The waiter bashed onto my dad 3 times. The menus was the same, which is fine, but specials could give options to returning customers. Maybe it was just an off day
