Don’t want to leave this place. So many restaurants so many options. The outside pool is fab and the cocktails are delicious!

La comida no era buena, de hecho el 2do dia de la estancia mi esposa y yo nos enfermamos del estomago, y es que no consumimos vino o alcohol.
El servicio del personal excelente, las habitaciones tenian algunos detalles de mantenimiento.

This is our second time going to RIU palace las Americas. We enjoy that it is adults only and like the dining options. The building is a little tired, but they make up for it with the staff. All of the staff members are kind, diligent, and so fun!

I was searching for an upscale Hotel with Ocean views, clear water and safe environment as i sometimes travel solo to relax. Well…this Hotel was just Amazing. Their beach is private and always staff everywhere ready to assist you with anything. They bring you drinks to the beach…which is awesome. their buffet is just delicious and they also have 4 other restaurants All-inclusive.
If you get bored just step outside and right across the street are lots if souvenir shops and restaurants as well as a pharmacy.
Just a mile away at Tortuga beach is the Ultra Mar Ferry that takes you to “isla mujeres island” a 30 minute boat ride for just $38 round trip.
If you do go see this island plan on going the whole day and wear a hat it gets Hot…but theres also beaches there. A must see on this island is “Punta Sur” which is the Southern tip of the island with gorgeous cliff-views if the Ocean and some mayan statues. Also a few trails there that gi around the cliff that are pretty awesome. wear gym shoes.
Hotel Riu Palace Las Americas is an Adult Hotel…so they do stay up with music until 11pm so you wont sleep until then since they have shows almost every night…except Wednesdays & Fridays.
i think all their rooms have balconies which awesome. They are decorated with fine wood furniture, very elegant. I highly recommend it. Its also very clise to the Airport just 30 minutes away.

Truly a 5 star experience. Front Desk staff were the best and solved any and all issues. The facility is great and the food is excellent. The Buffet is fantastic. We will definitely come back. The big negative for us was the lack of any patio style tables and chairs to enjoy the outdoors. All outdoor seating was chaise lounges that became very hard after a few days. We enjoy playing games and cards and we could not do that at a comfortable table near one of the 3 pools. This hotel resort is the best otherwise!!!

It is very nice and clean other than bathroom doesn’t have exhaust fan. Room temperature are set at 22degree Celsius which was hot for me and couldn’t sleep at night. I requested to have it lowered but they responded on the last night I was supposed to be there

Most if not all of the resort employees were really respectfully and attendant to everyone’s needs. The hospitality shown by its employees was A .
The resort felt outdated and smelled musky, the AC didn’t cool very well but very spacious.
The food and drinks weren’t very good but the pools and beach access were very convenient.

The staff at the RIU are amazing! They are so friendly, so willing to be helpful, & always cleaning! Humberto in the main restaurant was especially friendly & fun!
The soft, white beach & the waves were lovely & very therapeutic!
There is a moldy, musty smell throughout the hotel... probably because it is an older resort & is right on the beach. However we have stayed at other beachside hotels that did not smell so bad.
The food was only okay. The main restaurant with the buffet was decent & as good as can be for a buffet. The food at the other restaurants was mediocre at best.
This was only our second time at an all-inclusive & we won't likely do it again. Its great if you like to drink a lot & don't really care about the food beyond wanting to feel full.
I liked that there were 3 pools.... we had 2 other options if we didn't want to go to the "party" pool with the obnoxious music. However there wasn't much seating by the other 2 pools so you had to get there early; & most of the lounge chairs are very close to the party pool. There are however lots of lounge chairs on the beach which is where we mostly spent our time & it was great!
The truly negative thing I can say is about the people who get so flipping drunk including the couple who were staying right next to us. They got so drunk, and argued so much, and then vomited right outside the door. The resort obviously can't control other people but this is the main reason we likely wont stay at an all inclusive again.

The entertainment staff were awesome. They had bingo,trivia, dancing, ballyball,. The bartender made it the best. Thank you Eduardo, Julio, David, Miguel, Lucera and the rest of the poolside group for making this a great tip. Great vibe for all ages and this is a place we will go again. HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL AGAIN TAKE CARE :)
