Elba Sara Beach & Golf Resort

2nd visit to this hotel . It is a lovely hotel staff are great , helpful and friendly . The facilities are amazing the pool is large and spacious. The food is good and offer a wide variety. The only thing I would make better is more entertainment at night and let it go on later . All round great hotel

This hotel is absolutely amazing! I cannot fault anything or anyone. We stayed in a prestige double on floor 6. Room was spotless! Restaurant on all inclusive had a huge variety every day, cooked fresh. Staff fantastic! Can’t wait to go back

We first stayed at this hotel in November 2021 and it was tired with mediocre food. We have just returned from our second visit and wow what a difference. The hotel has been updated to a much higher standard, the new Adults only sunbathing area is lovely and so are all the rest of the improvements. We were amazed by the excellent standard of food in the main restaurant and there are now two themed ones, Italian and Mexican. What makes this hotel extra special are the fantastic staff who work so very hard not just focusing on one area, they move around during long shifts. It was good to see management walking around talking to guests and getting feedback through written surveys. We travel a lot and to be honest do not normally know who the manager is at a hotel. We had a couple of very minor issues which were resolved quickly. Would we return? Well that’s a big fat yes, we will be joining all the other returners. Very well done to everyone at the Elba Sara for an amazing holiday.

We stayed a week in mid-January and really enjoyed our time at the Elba Sara. The staff were all fantastic and went out their way to help without delay. We asked to change room on day 1 (our first room was on the side with minimal sea view) and reception were able to swap us to a brilliant room on the 4th floor. Thank you! Food - no complaints with variety, we enjoyed the different theme nights and also did 'TexMex' one night where we had a large steak. Sometimes could have been a bit hotter, but depended if you arrived towards end of the session. Pool/gardens - always loads of sunbeds and always clean, staff collected empty glasses through the day. We enjoyed the new 'adults only' area, with more comfortable sunbeds and fewer people. Great area to relax. Drink - no issues with the AI drinks. Choice of 3 gins, Jim Beam, Smirnoff Vodka, CruzCampo beer - no cheap unknown spirits. Cocktails weren't tried, they were ready mixed and didn't look a close match to genuine ones. The bar staff were brilliant, remembering your name and even what your regular drink was. Entertainment - live music most nights in the main bar, other entertainment in the 'Broadway bar' some aimed at famalues with kids. Nice mix, and quieter areas in case you didn't want the music. TVs with live sport in the main bar, so good if your football team is live on Sky Sports. Refurbishment - still continuing in places (some corridors were out of bounds, but didn't affect us), but the benefits are easy to see and the remaining work should be finished soon. Overall, it's the best hotel we've stayed at in Caleta and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Thank you to all.

We stayed here for 7 nights. Overall, a lovely hotel with clean and spacious rooms and a good pool area with plenty of sun beds. The cats were very cute and well-looked after! The only negative was that the food could be hit and miss and a couple of times I was given food that wasn’t properly cooked from the show cooking area. There were also limited cocktails on offer on the all inclusive menu.

Food ok at best. Entertainment in lounge bar hit and miss. Had to wait 3 hours for our room to be ready. No beach towels available next morning so had to buy them from the shop. Today is our last day and a wedding has more or less taken over the place. No access to adult only area, no access to pool bar. No mention from Jet2 that this could be an issue. Not a 4 star for me. Back to Lanzarote next time.

We’ve just returned from a weeks all inclusive with our two young children. The bar staff were very friendly, quick to serve and engaging. The housekeepers did an amazing job with our room - it was so clean and fresh daily. Unfortunately the reception staff were less friendly, which is a shame seeing these are the first people you meet when arriving at the hotel. I was worried about the food reviews before we went, but the food is exactly what you’d expect from an all inclusive place - there was generally always something to eat, occasionally replenishing empty dishes was a little slow but on the whole, it was all fine. The salad was fresh and varied and there was always fresh fruit of apples, pears, bananas and oranges as well as desserts with lunch and dinner. There were plenty of sun loungers available and the kids splash park was really nice. My two really enjoyed it. The swimming pools were cold, one was heated, obviously this one wasn’t as cold and therefore everyone went in that pool - the other was virtually empty the whole of our visit. The animacion team were very engaging, energetic and friendly and the mini disco really drew in the children. The evening entertainment was varied and whilst not always to our taste, was a pleasant way to spend the evening in a relaxed, child friendly environment.

Hi been here for 10 days but feels like 10 years, this has to be the worst all inclusive hotel I have ever been to, I am here with my disabled wife, facility’s are not to bad, however the toilets can’t keep up with basic things like toilet rolls hand wash and hand towels, these are basics, there is so much ignorance from the staff, however when I say that not all of them, I will never return here and that’s a shame, it’s a Benidorm at best, right now Ian in the bar listening to some guitarist and I feel like slicting my wrist, sorry just my opinion.

This is quite a mixed review. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel like I need to for this hotel. We stayed for 10 nights at the end of April with our 6 month old baby. Unfortunately baby caught this sickness bug, and we needed medical attention. Then it passed on to me and hubby. It seems this was going round the hotel at the time (couldn’t have been good poisoning as baby wasn’t on solid food at this point). So that was 3 days stuck in the hotel room. On arrival, phone was not working in room and aircon was playing up. So had to go back to reception as couldn’t phone them! Someone came up, messed about with phone and said they’d fix it later. The air con was sorted. Came back after evening meal and it wasn’t fixed, but the bed was pulled out and all the wires left exposed. Also kettle wasn’t working, so went back to reception to request a new one, as needed to feed baby. A new kettle was brought to us, but the lid was broken. Next day, we went to get beach towels, told there was none and to wait delivery. So we used our room towels, which were then not replaced. Had to go back to reception because the phone didn’t work! That night, we could not turn the lights off in the room at 10pm. We couldn’t get the baby off to sleep. Back down to reception as phone didn’t work. Staff came up, also couldn’t turn it off, so unscrewed the bulbs and it was left like that the whole holiday. Food. The staff in restaurant were lovely, quick with drinks orders and clearing plates. The food was not too bad, warm generally, but we did come across some raw meat. I did see a fair few people using the microwave to heat their food (surely this is not acceptable for a 4* all inclusive?!). No fresh orange juice. Fruit was tinned, which i also think is poor for a 4*. Food was quite repetitive. I had had enough by the end of the holiday, and really was not looking forward to going down for meals 3 x a day. The cava, wine and whiskey were pretty decent in all inclusive. I personally wouldn’t say this is a 4* hotel.
